Well with all the recent departures at WFMZ, we should also be mentioning a new addition, sort of. Congratulations to morning anchor Eve Russo and her husband, Nolan, on the birth of their daughter, Maeve Tanner Russo, earlier this week. Eve posted pictures on her Facebook page along with the announcement.

Nydia Han was on during the 4PM show promoting a "Troubleshooters" consumer special which will air at 8PM tonight. Granted, the networks are running mostly reruns, but I thought it was interesting that the show was airing during prime time.

Sports reporter Lesley Van Arsdall posted a Facebook video last night. It was mentioned that Lauren Casey would be handling the weekday evening weather duties while Kate Bilo is on maternity leave. Kate's due in the next 2 or so weeks. Lauren said that Chelsea Ingram (most recently from Baltimore) would be taking the weekend evening weather shift.

Mike Jerrick returned from rehab today. He explained his ordeal, too. They also added a couch to the set, which I hope they keep. It makes the set seem more casual and comfortable.

Kate Bilo's going out on maternity leave soon, so Matt may be filling in.

Chs 3, 6, and 10 are starting their morning news at 4AM Thursday to cover the snow. Ch 29 normally starts at 4, but tomorrow they're starting at 3:30AM to get the jump on all the important news at that hour. I wonder if that extra half hour will affect the February ratings book?
