God, I'll miss him. All of the Chicago TV legends I grew up watching are retiring fast. I think Tom Negovan comes back to Midday and replaces Steve.

I get it. It is morning TV, and it is supposed to be lighthearted and funny at times. The KDKA Tom Brady incident did happen on an evening newscast, after all.

Watching XFL right now, and those gigantic last name fonts from Super Bowl LIV are nowhere to be found. That gigantic touchdown animation is still there, though.

Man. Watching him, I thought he would go as long as Jim Gardner in Philly. Nonetheless, 30+ years is a helluva run.

All I could think of when I saw these graphics was ESPN, because it feels like a package they would use, minus the comic caricatures.
