  1. Ditto for WFAA here.
  2. Channel 9 just lost more of its charm last night.
  3. In honor of WGN's final original sports telecast of any kind today, here are some of their best intros. Amazing what they could accomplish with streaking arrows.
  4. Understood. There was no way Fox was leaving SVN in the first place, seeing that it is one of their most-watched affiliates in the country.
  5. Then what's the point of Fox attempting to buy WSFL?
  6. Staying in Houston, KTRK's Melanie Lawson was a victim of a car break-in while eating out.
  7. This Chicago Magazine Alan Krashesky profile is so deep.
  8. Sports telecasts on WGN may not be gone for good after all. Perry Sook says in this interview that's he's making negotiations with the Cubs, Sox, Blackhawks, and Bulls. It also looks like Sook wants to keep WGN 720 and to have more overlap between both stations.
  9. Every newscast with a unique name to them. That is unprecedented.
  10. So will Megan Mawicke be promoted to sports director?
  11. It's gotten so bad that DirecTV is now censoring the Bottomline on their feed.

  18. Ed Curran filled in from time to time.
  19. Derrick Young is out.
  20. Miami is an AFC market. Don't think CBS would want to get rid of WFOR because of that.
  21. Michelle Beadle could be on the way out and NBA Countdown could be drastically reduced. https://awfulannouncing.com/espn/espn-michelle-beadle-buyout-countdown-changes.html?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter
  22. WLS runs those Consumer Reports segments on the morning show, so she'll likely be assigned to those.
  23. She did the same at KXAS.
  24. WFAA is preempting ABC primetime next Thursday to show the controversial high school football game between El Paso High vs. Plano Senior High School. Dale Hansen and Mike Leslie will be in the booth with Joe Trahan and Cynthia Izaguirre on the sidelines. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.wfaa.com/amp/article/news/local/wfaa-set-to-broadcast-plano-senior-high-school-vs-el-paso-eastwood-high-school-football-live-in-primetime-on-sept-5/287-315dcc64-82fa-4721-bc59-78b687080daf
