1. That is weird. Wonder what the occasion is.
2. It’s very credible according to a certain shark.
3. NBCSN has found what works for them in niche sports. They have also shown college football outside of Notre Dame, but I don't know what happened to those rights. I don't think they'll snag MLB from ESPN, TBS, or Fox anytime soon.
4. Yeah, I’ve been seeing that too over the last couple of weeks.
5. I’d expect it. Don’t be surprised if Sky personalities start appearing on NBC’s PL coverage soon.
6. Rare video of KHON’s morning news from 2003, back when they branded themselves as “Fox 2”:
7. Lemme guess, WKYC’s morning show has gone full social media?
8. The person arrested in the planning of a bomb attack on Election Day is related to a WNYW photog. https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2018/10/11/fox-employees-brother-is-arrested-in-bomb-plot
9. Change on the NBA scoreboard: more space between team abbreviations and the scores.
10. And Warner Saunders is trending nationally on Twitter as we speak.
11. I was (and still) remain an ABC7 and WGN guy, but I remember watching Warner and Allison a few times. I had no idea he was there that long. May he continue to report in Heaven.
12. Oh no! He lived a full life and was one of the greats in Chicago. RIP.
13. I guess the cancellation of the Sinclair sale was a factor?
14. WGN wins the overall ratings battle in the Jason Van Dyke trial.
15. Maybe loan Kaity from weekends?
16. Whyyyyyy do people do this?
17. A lack of a meteorologist (except on Saturdays) is part of the show’s charm.
18. More weekend changes. Al Sharpton is getting another show on Saturday and Sundays and David Gura is getting a panel show airing Saturday and Sunday mornings. https://www.mediaite.com/tv/msnbc-to-shuffle-weekend-lineup-al-sharpton-getting-new-hour-david-gura-debuting-panel-show/
19. I think 20th will still provide programming to the O&Os after the Disney deal. A lot of Fox and MyNet O&Os have Family Feud. No way FTS would mandate their stations to emulate FNC.
20. A former WJLA meteorologist writes a letter to Senate Judiciary about Julie Swetnick. https://www.judiciary.senate.gov/imo/media/doc/2018-10-02 Signed Ketterer Statement - Swetnick Allegations.pdf Michael Avenatti says it’s false.
21. Mary Kay Kleist has been promoted to weeknights, replacing Steve Baskerville.
22. Here’s ESPN’s new NBA scoreboard @24994J was taking about. Antenna is the new font.
23. That’s kinda sad, IMO. The NBC Sports regionals felt like the FSNs from the ‘90s-late 2000s — Live local sports mixed with daily local and national programming. Seeing both shows go away will make NBCSC feel like another cookie cutter RSN.
24. NBC Sports Chicago is dropping In The Loop and Fast Break after two years. https://www.robertfeder.com/2018/09/28/robservations-nbc-sports-chicago-drops-loop-fast-break/
25. Just a guess, but maybe it’s because WPVI has national recognition in some capacity? MCTYW and Jim Gardner are recognizable to people outside Philadelphia and they’ll probably be clues in that category. In any case, this is new, and it’ll be interesting to see how this plays out. I remember an episode a few seasons ago that had WGN as a clue.
