I'm not done yet, theres still more rare stuff! Part of WYZZ's sign-off and 2 IDs from Fall 1994: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nl76qT7tSCo Some promos from 1987, including one using KENS' "Clearly the One" jingle: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2XDGQZAibQ And more from when they were WBLN: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRrQiLXwRVU A WTTO id from 1985 using those generic 80's graphics used at many small TV stations: And some footage of Channel 19 from the WRAU days: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rd7sCt3HyCs Keep an eye on this channel, I have a hunch this is just the beginning!
-
And much more: Another WBLN news promo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cjZ4a13wHK4 A news open from WHOI with Turn To: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQS6ABbmKTU And some IDs from 1991 with Great News: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8G30uUu6fAg WMBD from 1986/87 with The Best News of All: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_WC2LL7byg Plus some more WBLN promos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NTYCem7D0s

Lots of rare stuff from a new channel I just found: A WMBD promo from 1983 for the debut it's version of Newscope, along with some ids: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocSTzD0XVmM And a promo from 1997, just after they changed to the Media General style graphics: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YbjGyheKxUc A rare news promo from WBLN (now WYZZ), yes Channel 43 had news back then, and yes, there was a station using the NewsChannel name before KTVK! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_4gQTnpwXIc A weak quality (multi-generation and poor reception) promo from WAFF in 1981, heralding the arrival Tom Kennemer & Missy Ming from WHNT: And a promo plus afternoon update from WEEK from early 1985. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rUimWDGlFw

Here's a little over half of the WCMH noon news from August 21, 1998 (the day my cousin Carly was born) from a clean studio master with commercials!
-
I thought so. If only we had a Piedmont area member to tell us! Here's a bit of a KFBB promo from 1986:
-
The first 8 minutes or so of WXII's news from September 29, 1985 with an unknown theme, could it be related to their "Count On Us" image campaign from back then? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=1blakjbyos0;m=27;s=8 There's also an update in the video with the same theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=1blakjbyos0;m=18;s=41

Apparently 'BZ had a 7:30 newscast in 1991: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=MTY3PvlEJ_8;m=3;s=9

A bit of KPIX from 1983: And KXTV when it still took news seriously: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=SZpt5dfr8UA;m=21;s=21

I'll ask my cousin who lives in El Cajon to find some home recorded VHS tapes of San Diego TV. Maybe he'll find a copy of This Day that KFMB didn't destroy. I really should find a way to transfer my VHS collection to digital files. I've got tons of rare mouthwatering clips from my nearly 10 years of VHS collecting.
-
And from the same channel, another holy grail found, clips of KFMB's This Day from June 18, 1986: And a bonus, a clip from KFMB's original This Day back in 1964:
-
Here's the opening to KSTWashington's Ten O'Clock News from February of 1988: And a WPTV Action 5 News special on the one year anniversary of the Challenger Explosion, along with the first segement of WPLG's 11pm news from that same day: How about something from a PBS station? KENW's Scene 3 News from November 1992:
-
And here's some silent film of KIRO from September of 1958, when the station was only 7 months old.
-
Now there's a station that's trapped in a time warp compared to your other uploads. They were using that same open (albeit as Channel 29) in 1993: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=HFIA_H4EjhA;m=6;s=28 A year later they finally replaced it with a more modern package that I can't find right now (in was in one of NewsActive3's compilations though)

Now for some material from the sister channel to the one I found yesterday: Grab a box of tissues, here's WABC's 11pm news from just 10 days after 9/11. A very serious newscast, no happy talk or banter. At the end is a long credit role that acknoledges Don DiFranco, the station's engineer who was killed when the towers collapsed. Plus an expanded edition of Nightline from that same day: And as a bonus, the Politically Incorrect that aired afterwards. After 9/11, the show would do cold opens for the rest of it's run: Now on a happier note, here's a news teaser from WECT from February 9, 1986: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h=2;id=OLiyFX9nt6s;m=33;s=43 And a December 1990 KIMT newscast from the directors POV (you''ll have to click the link to view): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ybRRrsOUotM

And here it is, the news from 22 years ago tomorrow:

I'm glad you enjoyed it! (the things I do for you people...) That was probably the first time I've ever seen a local TV station do their own late night talk show. You better download it soon, the owner of the video just had one of his accounts wiped, and I'm worried the same thing could happen to this account! Anyone else know any other stations that did similar show to PAM?
-
Which was followed by a replay of that night's 11 pm news: WPTA's 6pm news from the last Sunday of 1999: An NBC News Special Report on the OKC bombing: Nightline from the same WPVI tape: Two thirds of the late news on the old KNTV from late April/early May 1994, with lots of program promos:
-
I've gone video hunting again. All of these are from the same YT channel: The first 12 minutes of the KGO 5pm news from February 27, 1997 (just after this short lived look debuted): A chunk of World News Now with Anderson Cooper from March 2, 2000: A pop-up news teaser from KMBC from February 25, 1990: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=FlQHSUruFhg;m=28;s=34 From earlier in the same tape as the WNN clip, a promo for WPVI's Philly After Midnight, which was a reincarnation of AM Live/AM Philadelphia: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=xr4PuM1J03c;m=10;s=43 And the episode itself:

Here's a tiny bit of WFRV from 1975(!)
-
Easy, that's the tail end of Production Music: Industrial Power, better known as the theme of Independent Network News from 1980-1984.
-
Speaking of which, here's WTTG using the beginning of the News Image close to introduce it's Metromedia Moive Club back in 1985: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=bRZsCvnONYo;m=12;s=5 Also the beginning of the video is the intro to the WBFF movie from that same day, introduced on-screen by some old guy who may or may not have been a friend of Nixon or Reagan!

The jingle on the KGMC station ID was JAM's "The Spirit of New England" jingle package, one of my favorites. It likely dates back to 1995, when KGMC was Fresno's first WB affiliate, airing about 8-10 hours of barter shows programmed from KMPH, and brokered religious programming and infomercials during the rest of the day. By the time this video was recorded, KMPH had moved C43's entertainment shows and WB affiliation to KNSO 51 in Merced, where it remained until New Years Day 2001, when it swapped affiliations with Telemundo affiliate KMSG 59 in Sanger (which became KFRE, which it still is today as the market's CW affiliate). Judging by this video, I can assume that KJEO likely bought time on KGMC to air time-shifted rebroadcasts of its newscasts.

What? Something from Rick Thomas that's not from LA? Well believe it, it's the close of a KFMB newscast from 1975:

A bit of WBNS from November 1993 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=zi3V2I9uE7U;m=30;s=11 and from 3 months later, with voiceover by a young Eric Gordon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=tXWhEy0kCaM;m=34;s=9
