I believe this may have been the national CTV campaign, it was also used on MCTV & CKY:
-
That was from January of 2001, the waning days of Advantage, Balls & Walls, and the 1980's news set.
-
WROC in 1992 with Leading Edge, how many themes did they use in the 90s? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=xJFLMgrAsdI;m=2;s=6

A very very bare bones newscast was offered by WVNY back in 1989, no wonder very little people watched the station:
-
Here's an update from WVEC in February of 1985, using the same or similar set design as WJXT:
-
Thanks for letting me know. I never watched the rest of his videos, knowing how unstable that guy is. I just assumed it was from the Atanta murders of 79-81 because of his love for WTCG/WTBS.
-
You never know, we're still finding old New Orleans TV footage long after Katrina....
-
Yeah, I know that channel. The user's sister was killed in the Atlanta child murders of the 80's, which is probably why his videos, and his mind, are messed up.

The latest gems from Daniel Cole include the full "We Know What Matters" image song from WEEK in 1988: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QXDO6cfWpOc Another WYZZ station ID with the "Clearly the One" theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=or7XaM8vvmE A promo for WMBD's noon news during the CBS 31/Counterpoint era (late 90's): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hddZsmGSM6g And a bonus from Mike Panonni, a rare bilingual sign-off from WKAQ-TV: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=CMpDnYoP9ec;m=11;s=25

Not local news, but still interesting. A full weekend episode of Extra from May 18, 1997, back when show wanted to be more like Inside Edition instead of ET: Plus the weekend Hard Copy & George Michael Sports Machine from that day: Note that it was taped off KNDO/KNDU, yet another YT channel with stuff from Yakima/Tri Cities!

The intro to WSLS' 11pm news from November 4, 1999: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=4W8RRKk7TbY;m=2;s=51

It certainly is an EQ Vance package. The fonts and dotted background in the talent intro confirms it. BTW, does anyone ever get TVbD and EQ Vance's mid-late 90's work confused for their similarity?

A rare WTVR news promo from 1974!: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=sYmMEj5SLmk;t=19

Here comes more Peoria! In addition to their NewsChannel 43, WBLN also carried CNN Headline News at noon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KKEtMYR78E The ending of 19 Eyewitness News from WRAU in December of 1984, they would become WHOI 4 months later. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SNoQ5dDhveQ An update from WMBD in 1991/92, note the NewsCenter 31 logo even though they annouce it as News 31: A WEEK 24 hour update from the early 90's, they must cancelled their 5pm newscast back then (which back then used WNBC's 80s theme, while the other newscasts used Hello): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LpyKUcsCamI And from Keith Richardson, another news promo from KPIX in 1991, this look reminds me of European TV, specifically France:
-
The closing minutes of WTBS' CNN-produced newscast, the TBS Evening News from December 7, 1982. At the end is a plug telling viewers how don't have CNN but enjoyed the newscast to call and ask their cable company for it (remember those commercials?)
-
By the fall, that open was replaced with the more minimalist one with Mike Lewis that's already been posted here:

I'm not done yet, theres still more rare stuff! Part of WYZZ's sign-off and 2 IDs from Fall 1994: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nl76qT7tSCo Some promos from 1987, including one using KENS' "Clearly the One" jingle: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2XDGQZAibQ And more from when they were WBLN: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SRrQiLXwRVU A WTTO id from 1985 using those generic 80's graphics used at many small TV stations: And some footage of Channel 19 from the WRAU days: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rd7sCt3HyCs Keep an eye on this channel, I have a hunch this is just the beginning!
-
And much more: Another WBLN news promo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cjZ4a13wHK4 A news open from WHOI with Turn To: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KQS6ABbmKTU And some IDs from 1991 with Great News: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8G30uUu6fAg WMBD from 1986/87 with The Best News of All: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7_WC2LL7byg Plus some more WBLN promos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7NTYCem7D0s

Lots of rare stuff from a new channel I just found: A WMBD promo from 1983 for the debut it's version of Newscope, along with some ids: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ocSTzD0XVmM And a promo from 1997, just after they changed to the Media General style graphics: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YbjGyheKxUc A rare news promo from WBLN (now WYZZ), yes Channel 43 had news back then, and yes, there was a station using the NewsChannel name before KTVK! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_4gQTnpwXIc A weak quality (multi-generation and poor reception) promo from WAFF in 1981, heralding the arrival Tom Kennemer & Missy Ming from WHNT: And a promo plus afternoon update from WEEK from early 1985. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rUimWDGlFw

Here's a little over half of the WCMH noon news from August 21, 1998 (the day my cousin Carly was born) from a clean studio master with commercials!
-
I thought so. If only we had a Piedmont area member to tell us! Here's a bit of a KFBB promo from 1986:
-
The first 8 minutes or so of WXII's news from September 29, 1985 with an unknown theme, could it be related to their "Count On Us" image campaign from back then? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=1blakjbyos0;m=27;s=8 There's also an update in the video with the same theme: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=1blakjbyos0;m=18;s=41

Apparently 'BZ had a 7:30 newscast in 1991: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=MTY3PvlEJ_8;m=3;s=9
-
A bit of KPIX from 1983: And KXTV when it still took news seriously: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=SZpt5dfr8UA;m=21;s=21

I'll ask my cousin who lives in El Cajon to find some home recorded VHS tapes of San Diego TV. Maybe he'll find a copy of This Day that KFMB didn't destroy. I really should find a way to transfer my VHS collection to digital files. I've got tons of rare mouthwatering clips from my nearly 10 years of VHS collecting.
