1. An update from WJSU TV 40 from 1989/90, with the rare syndicated Sharing Together That's The Way promo!
2. A KJRH tornado special from 1991:
3. I posted this in Classic Video but I thought I'd have better luck here: Anyone know this theme? I heard it in part of a Donahue promo from 1993, as well as the intro to Jornal Bandeirantes from 1992:
4. Anyone up for some college news? This is the inaguaral broadcast of the University of Georgia's University News from April of 1988, using some kind of production music that I've heard several times before, anyone know what it is?
5. Bits of WOI-TV's 10pm news and Sports Extra from January 31, 1993:
6. Here's a reat treat, WNHT from its indie days, including a promo using a jingle package from WTZA, and a news update (before they launced a full news operation during their CBS affiliation):
7. I made it to 250 posts! And at least half of them was on this thread! The last few minutes of the other Pro News in Texas, KVIA-TV from April of 1982, along with the first minutes of their PM Magazine franchise, using a short version of the 1979 intro: A YT user looks back at the tornados that hit KOCO-TV 20 years ago this June, including clips of interviews with staff: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZ1EIg2opHo A clean intro to KNXT's news from 1975, one of the first, if not the first, CGI news intros: A documentary on BFBS from the early 80s:
8. KTTC in 1986 with NewScore: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=umVwo0MM4Fc;m=15;s=10
9. WLS-TV's tribute to Fahey Flynn right after his death in 1983: A full epiosde of Today in Chicago from August 1978: An epiosde of CBS Reports, and various network newscast fragments (including PBS's Captioned ABC News) from November 1980: Not news, but still interesting, WCIU-TV's Polka Party from April Fools Day 1978:
10. Some rare things from WSM-TV & WTVF, as well as WBBM & WMAQ are in this compliation, including a WTVF open from 1982/83 with the rare non-NBC version of Mike Randall's NewsCenter: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=UypvRGMWlME;m=23;s=51
11. And let us not forget that when the KTVI-New World switch was announced in 95, ABC had wanted to make KPLR (then still owned by the Koplar family) their new affiliate. If there had been a sixth commercial station to acquire KPLR's surplus shows (or if KNLC was apt to going mostly secular) we would likely now have ABC 11 and CW 30. That's probably the scenario ABC (and a lot of us here) wished should have happend.
12. And two more... A full commercial break from KTVV during a 1981 SNL rerun (after the ill-fated Jean Doumanian run) Back they they were using a log which looked more suited for an indie station: KTBC runs into techincal difficulites during a CBS Sports boxing match: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=hanymzztUOw;t=58
13. Lots of old Austin stuff, and theres more where that came from! A KTBC ID from 1978-79, using the theme from the 1987 WHIZ video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=HYcOnNN8a9g;m=1;s=30 KTVV commercials from 1985: A KVUE Newsbrief from 1984: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=5lTBaNX6VpI;t=19 An Ernest P. Worrell ad for KVUE, I think this is different from the ones on compilation sets: A promo for KTVV's local Joyce & Mel show:
14. Stan Turner of KSTP anchors this segment of All News Channel from 1996:
15. MTN9 in Griffith from 1992, quite an improvement from what they had 13 years earlier:
16. WSBT's 22 Eyewitness News from 1979:
17. With the recent report that Lou Dobbs allegidly gives advice directly to Trump through speakerphone, I thought I'd like to remind you of all what he was long before he became Trump's #2 fan:
18. Here's a real biggie, WOR-TV's sign-on routine and news from July 29, 1984, 16 months after the move to Seacaucus:
19. Mike was in the open. John B. Wells does the Lincoln-Mercury commercial before. As long as Tegna owns this website now, it seems right that I should post classic clips from one of it's stations: A nightime version of their 1979 open, this would have have to been no earlier than 1982, as this was after they moved to their current studios: From September 1983, the first generation of "Clearly The One/The One For You": An updated open from April 1985, this was after they bought a chopper:
20. It's in DX quality, but still better than nothing, a news open from KTIV from 1999 with Mark Haffner's On Your Side:
21. Newspapers.com says that Action News became Channel 12 News on April 28th. That was also when they debuted a new set which I believe was used until they bacame "Arizona's News Station" in 93. Here's KRTV in 1997 with Stephen Arnold's Newsleader: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=NSam7b4-9sc;t=43
22. Lots of rare New York TV potpourri from the same channel that had the 1979 WNBC sign off! A complete episode of WNEW-TV's Midday Live with Bill Boggs from February 27, 1978: WABC's Good Morning New York (which would later evolve into The Morning Show and then Live with Regis and Kathie Lee) from April 29, 1982: WOR-TV's womens talk show Straight Talk from April 11, 1980: WCBS-TV's public affairs program On Your Side with John Stossel (long before he bacame a libertarian and one of Trump's defenders on TV) from February 1979: You know this channels a keeper when you find something like this, half of an episode of NBC's Monitor newsmagazine from March 1983: The original recorder may have been a doctor, as several of his uploads have to do with the subject of infertility and frozen sperm and eggs.
23. That guy should probably let another user upload things from his tape collection. He clearly has a messed up mind and needs psyciatric help.
24.
A WHIO bump from 1989: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jMplEHNzlc
I'm afraid you've been bamboozled @Raymie. All the uploads that guy does are stolen from other channels (mostly ChenowithRules and its sister channels). Here is the original source of that clip: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=id=UyrBzBaj8ak;m=1;s=27
