I'm sorry but I would think that could have been handled so he knew the timing and not be cut off, then continue off camera after whatever hand off they had. It just seems extremely disrespectful.
-
Wow, how disrespectful of the station and Nexstar for a long term anchor. You can tell from the sound when they pulled out from his last words. And this is the company hat wants to own as many TV stations as they can. A warning to markets where Nexstar and Sinclair will control all stations. Shameful. It shows Nexstar loyalty is to money, not its people.

The specific quick expiration date is interesting. Not sure it indicates they have family agreement. The initial press release gave the impression they do not.

As I said before, arrogance. Sook thinks he has this all approved already and took the lazy approach. It makes it seem as a not very serious application. Sadly, Carr isn't bright enough to see through it.
-
It’s arrogance. Sook believes he has a FCC that will allow him to do whatever he wants. Nothing in this is good.
-
They didn’t own it and probably way too small. The new studio were active studios before.

ABC/Disney’s old complex of buildings have been sold to developers. It’s all coming down.
-
I noticed the studio this am has some elements of exposed brick, bringing long time viewers memories of their original Secaucus studios (now MLB Network until they move to Elmwood Park in the coming years). With MLB eventually vacating the Secaucus space, would MSNOW consider taking it back?

It would be suicide to move what is WJAR to 6, or to change its call letters. WJAR historically is the dominant station in RI. Dead air often beat Ch. 12 and 6 combined. It is one of NBC's oldest affiliates going back to radio and started using the three toned chime that is synonymous with NBC today. It's a long heritage and habit in RI despite Sinclair's attempts to destroy the station. I assume Disney isn't too happy with this move, but they have no where to go. The Providence market is the future. All anglo commercial stations (not including ION), are now owned by Nexstar and Sinclair. Welcome to the future if both companies get their way with a compliant FCC. RI viewers are the losers. -
Sounds more like a personal issue unrelated to the attempted censorship by Sinclair and Nexstar.

Isn't it one of the busiest lots in Hollywood?

It seems only Paramount Skydance is interested in the full company. As mentioned, most of the Discovery channels (and Paramoutns) aren't worth it. I doubt even Versant would want any of them now. Based on reports, a Discovery spinoff as planned makes the most sense with NBCU, Apple, or Amazon buying the WB/HBO/HBO Max side.

I didn't realize but explains why weather introduced the next hour. I suspect they are using 3B for the mayoral debate tomorrow.
-
Except they had already rolled out the new mic flags more than a month ago
-
Watching the 5 pm now. Some reporters are using wireless lapel mics. Others, mics with no flags. Ted Greenberg used the white 4/47 flag. A real mix.
-
It actually makes the most sense for him not using one. There must be an explanation considering they just rolled out the white ones.
-
Were you sure? I wouldn't include the joint WNBC/WCAU reporter Ted Greenberg's report. Tonight (Monday) no mic flags again. Not sure what's going on.
-
Anyone notice this week that they have not been using mic flags (not the old 4 or the white joint 4 and 47 flags)? They also used another bi-lingual reporter, Axel Turcios tonight. His instagram account indicates he works for both stations.

I find the show better with Mika and Joe in NY (or alternatively in DC) rather than their Florida studio. I think they may realize their meeting with trump was for naught, he is worse than his previous self and they aren't holding back anymore. Nicolle Wallace also has returned to the studio and that aids her interaction with guests (not to mention the quality of the lighting).

NBCU and YouTube have agreed to a long term deal.

Cheap google play box. I have to reset it every two days - audio and video go out of synch. Also a big delay from my other Altice One boxes which have far more capabilities.
-
The sooner Altice USA sells, the better. Service is crap. Channels keep getting dropped or moved to an add on tier mostly with stations nobody wants. Stream box sucks.
-
But will anyone watch? It's not compelling TV.

And the FCC Chair is going to reward both companies the permission to buy every tv station in every market and keep pushing false information. It will probably hasten the switch to network programming to their streaming services, (except O&Os) and render both companies worthlesss. You can't be successful programming the cheap dreck on the CW. -
KSDK is being bought by Nexstar. That won’t be an option to ABC.
