IDC That WBBM got a new boring set Idk what there waiting on btw but if its not the KCBS one it just looks generic and there news product keeps slipping every time I watch them. What the hell when is WBBM going to get a new set. Every other Chicago station has gotten a new set except them. WBBM has no stand up areas no interview set. They sit at that horseshit news desk for everything. I mean damn if they got a new desk id be satisfied. They need to get a desk similar to WJBKs so they can move it when needed. As for WNYW FOX isn't lazy, they have updated every other set except WNYW and KDFW

Moments ago Bill Bellis interruped Harry to do a severe weather update he was at the green screen since they have a new set with no weather center looks like he will have to stand at the green screen they use to quickly show him at the weather center and then just show graphics

They cut the last 30 minutes of news for an entertainment segment from a third party no they did not create it. But simply changing a anchor isnt going to help get off that news desk but another monitor in that back corner and go across the street i dont know if they have forgetten that they can be just like ABC 7 NBC 5 AND FOX 32 downtown in americas third largest city. Theres this one light on WBBMs set that keeps going out they keep fixing out but it kerps going out

WBBM covers there windows up for the 11am 5 and 6 pm because the sun is the brighest then the sun gives off a glare to their studio. And W Washington is right across the street from Daley Plaza but its a main work area M-F 9am to 5p its busy if youve ever watched the morning updates and they look outside the sidewalks are completely filled up and the bike lanes are filled alomg with the fact the traffics backed up as well thats when the video board is on 5pm same story people are going home at 6pm theres still people out there but at 10 theres only a few people out there. WBBM also only keeps the video board on during busy times of the day as well unless its Christmas time then its on all the time. compared to WLS on State St theres people always out there.

WMAQ WLS and WGN are all in tornado coverage right now as the NWS just released a warning at 1030. WBBM screwed their viewers and went off at 10:34 and their running crawls and i think Mark at WFLD left too early in his defense nothing was happening at 10pm and they are running crawls as well

Ok so lets Review the new WGN being taken over by Sinclair yikes cheesey graphics ouch and the set looks cheap ouch lets hope there not cheap and try to skimp on talent. FOX 32 NOW IS YOUR CHANCE

I feel WFLD can beat WGN once WGN gets sold to Sinclair there conservative view will hurt WGNs image sure WFLD is conservative too but this is nothing new since there owned by FOX but Sinclair i believe will mess up WGN topped with the fact WFLD has a brand new set arguerbly the best in the market And WGNS WILL LOOK SUPER CHEAP BDI really

I disagree about the set they could make some of the graphics cleaner but the set itself is nice and at least their not standing or in high chairs that is the trend at FOX now Side note i see they have LED lighting I get it now the desk is small so Bill and Lou etc can stand up before weather segments etc without always having to sit down but big enough for things like closings

You guys are just biased towards WFLD its bright and modern what do you guys want a dungen like KTLAs set and yes the weather centers probably in a corner in tge newsroom unless they plan on assembling the old weather center in the newsroom or putting it uo where the 3x3 is now they dont need it now they have plenty in the main studio and for the record Tribune media has the cheapest looking sets ie WPIX And its tied for the first best set in the market with WLS. WMAQ is a close third their set is really nice especially with the updated weather center. WBBM is cramped they have like one stand up area at least they have a weather center now and I guess WGN is gonna get another 10 years out of their set with doing a total update to the weather office And what do you mean small desk Jeff Dawn Bill and Lou can sit at the desk a 5th person couldnt fit but what do you want a giant desk like KGO get with the times the current sets are little to no wood all monitor the retro looking panels is unique nit the standard blue paneling or wood and the worst fox updated sets are WTVT and WJBK its detroit but still

Best set in the market it beats even WLS But we have to remember WFLD has the second highest budget behind WLS so its no suprise they have a nice set its the best looking out of all the FOX O&Os with the exception of WOFL and WAGA i guess Do they have a weather center on set? I see him at the green screen but i dont see the weather center did they throw the weather stuff in the back room other than that the set looks great

That is kinda dumb to debut it on the weekend with the lower ratings but we dont know what their ratings are on the weekend

Mabye tomorrow during Good Day Chicago they will debut the new set afterall thats what KRIV did with their morning show

Its ashame WFLD has more interview/standup areas while on a tempopary set than WBBM has period

FOX 32's News product is doing better. But in the mist of them doing everything wrong the Final Word is one thing they have always done right Lou Canellis is knowledgelable paired with Barry Rosner they always do great
