I imagine Nexstar will reinstate the CBS affiliation on KGBT as they used their sidecar to buy it instead of them proper...
KGBT 4.1 has apparently been off the air since CBS moved the KVEO's spectrum, with that, I can see that both KGBT & KVEO return to their pre-2020 arrangements once Mission takes control.

Did anyone see that Lester hosted the Tuesday, March 23 edition from Los Angeles.

Don't they have a 10pm show on Fox or something? In any event, that station would have to pretape as well.
Yes, WYDO, yet aren't most of these hubbed newscasts pretaped anyway? Besides, the next closest Sinclair stations are WLOS & WJLA.

And the hits just keep coming for "KBTV" and KFDM......
https://www.ftvlive.com/sqsp-test/2021/3/15/sinclair-to-hub-news-in-texas
They would have to start pre-taping WXLV's newscasts or drop them again, unless they have another station to do them out of...
Not good news for a market with essentially two stations doing news for 4 channels, and now two of them potentially getting hubbed away....
The WXLV newscast should be moved to WCTI.

The Portland Trail Blazers are moving from NBC Sports Northwest to Root Sports NW, effective next season.
It's now only a matter of time as to when NBC Sports Group formally announces the closure of NBCSNW as it was originally formed to broadcast Trail Blazers games in the first place. As for ROOT Sports NW, they'll now have all the NW teams with the exception of the Sounders.

I wonder whether this will lead to more Sinclair newscasts being centralized.

WPIX's website has been converted to the Nexstar layout.

I wonder how much longer Lockwood is going to keep the old Gray looks around. It's like they're still owned by them.
WCAV has the WBTV package, and KAKE still has the look about to be dumped by WSAZ and WTVY.
WFXG still has the old Raycom look to them, and the other Raycom castoffs are letting Nexstar (Dothan and Panama City) and Tegna (Knoxville) do their news their way. KTEN is really the only one doing something different, and it's sort of the Bayou City look that Meredith used to use before they got their own centralized package based off WSMV's look.
Of all the Lockwood stations you listed, KTEN is the only one that isn't a former Gray station.

Anyone heard anything on the graphics for KRIS, KATC, WLEX or KERO?
KERO is a legacy, pre Cordillera, thus we should wonder what the hold up is there.
KRIS is rebuilding their destroyed stick while moving to UHF, thus the graphics are not a priority until the tower is fixed
No telling what's causing the holdup at KATC or WLEX.

An update on this: Both WBRE/WYOU and WTNH have removed the restrictions and now you can view their newscasts without to login.
Nexstar probably either realized that this was a bad idea, or they received too many viewer complaints.

It will likely replace Court TV on WCNC, as it is the only WCNC diginet not owned by Tegna, unless they add a .5.
Upon review of Charlotte's spectrum, WCNC will probably have to add 36.5 as there's limited bandwidth, and no presence by Scripps.

Tegna is launching new female-focused diginet Twist this spring. The network, which features reality and lifestyle programming, will cover about 70% of households at launch. In addition to Tegna stations in 41 markets, the network will be available on Univision-owned stations in 11 markets -- including NYC, L.A., Chicago, and Philadelphia -- and HC2-owned stations in 31 markets. Tegna expects to have additional distribution lined up by the summer.
I can see Twist replacing subchannel space on stations losing a Katz subnet to an Ion spectrum, or Antenna TV to a Nexstar spectrum.

I took a look at this issue, and it appears that all the RSNs can place their teams on OTT with existing infrastructure.
- We all know that Sinclair plans on launching OTT for Bally's Sports
- NBC has NBC Sports Gold & Peacock
- AT&T has BR Live
- The Independent RSNs can possibly add a standalone option to their existing TVE platforms.

Did the Brewers really have a viable option other than Sinclair/Bally Sports?
The only OTA broadcaster who I think might have been interested would have been Weigel (they probably would have been thrilled to put the Brewers on WMLW), but I don't think they had the money to outbid Sinclair, nor the resources to actually produce Brewers games on an ongoing basis.
As far as cable channels, there isn't really an alternative to the RSNs, and Bally Sports is the only one in this area.
I believe that no team has an alternative to their current RSN and may sign as more of necessity, not by choice.

I wonder whether NBC will change their graphics package as the current look, except NFL and EPL, is six years old.

Would it be easier for Gray to move the KCBD NBC feed to the KLCW spectrum they just acquired?

This was already the case with Suddenlink cable for the past three weeks. The stations were pulled January 8 and only returned four days ago.
What's going on with Cox, they need to hire a new negotiator.

When did KMGH start producing 8pm news on KCDO? Also, they now do 7-9am and 1pm on KCDO?? I see there's also news at 11pm, but I'm going to guess that's a 10pm repeat.
Denver is approaching LA levels in terms of how much news is available around the clock.
I wonder whether Scripps will eventually launch newscasts on the Ion station in Tampa, Las Vegas, Tulsa, Nashville, Utah, and Milwaukee.

Here we go again:
DirecTV and AT&T TV Could Lose Cox-Owned Locals Next Week
Although the article lists the legacy Cox stations, it also appears that the former NWB stations could be yanked as well. As you remember, NWB was in a prolonged fight with AT&T in 2019 just before the Cox merger.

Now, Sinclair can go try, in vain, to get their RSNs back on the platforms that've dropped them recently.

Just by reading the article, it appears that CBS is destined for 44.2 in Sioux City.
CBS will be moving to 44.3 on February 4, just in time for the Super Bowl.

It'll get even more interesting on April 17 with MLS, which Sinclair holds local rights to several teams, starts their season.
