  1. At 8:00PM this evening KMGH & KCDO were dropped from DirecTV, due to a contract dispute between DirecTV & Scrips.
  2. It's a very large building, it was an old Armory before KUSA built there, so part of the studios are part of the old armory. It was the largest news room in Denver before FOX Television Stations, LLC & KDVR built there current home. The KUSA studios have 2 or 3 floors (one floor is non news and is for the sales dept).
  3. The 9NEWS+ Stream cut out at 3:59PM & currently is showing just there logo. On the air at 4:30, no Graphics, no Music, no Video play back.
  4. At 3:53PM KUSA went out for commercial and stayed in commercial, and is now showing taped local programing. A crawl at the bottom of the screen is saying technical difficulties, also the picture keeps freezing. KTVD/My Network TV appears to be unaffected at this time.
  5. CNN Has launched a standalone weather app. It was released this morning on the Apple App Store & on the Google Play store. CNN for years has done weather forecasts on air, now they have a standalone app. From CNN: https://www.cnn.com/2026/05/12/weather/why-we-are-launching-cnn-weather-app More here from Cord Cutters News: https://cordcuttersnews.com/cnn-launches-dedicated-weather-app-as-first-standalone-lifestyle-product/?fbclid=IwY2xjawRwhsxleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBzcnRjBmFwcF9pZBAyMjIwMzkxNzg4MjAwODkyAAEefnKVj-AW5dpZSr8nvrtJEa49lmIGLOw4JimG6Dpi5GZqwH_tLoPujTf9E4o_aem_hHxX4iogHIPYeykZskBQrg&brid=YWdncwEcxCGTVnuIafahKEoPMkJP I Wonder how well this will do, considering we alreday have The Weather Channel App, Weather Nation App, Fox Weather App, ect. I'm guessing it might do okay.
  6. The Swap of Gray & Scrips stations has been approved by the F.C.C. Gray Stations: KKCO, KJCT-LD, KMVT, KSVT-LD will now be owned by Scrips
  7. I feel that the current pause is warranted at this time, if nothing else changes with this merger the least the court could do is force more station spin offs by Nexstar. As far as Nexstar not taking network special reports I fell that is wrong on some level too, although I don't know if the court could really say much about that, that should be up to the networks to decide.
  8. I feel like nexstar telling stations to not take NBC News Special Reports is playing with fire. Wasn't something like this an issue with NBC in 1989 when they bought & then moved the affiliation to WTVJ from WSVN? Or am I crazy? And does nexstar have this directive for there Tegna ABC & CBS Stations? If not why??
  9. KUSA Just showed the Nexstar Copyright information at the end of 9NEWS@3, it has begun. The last Tegna copyright aired at Noon... And unfortunately I didn't capture it..
  10. American Telephone & Telegraph
  11. KUSA is reporting the deal is Done! Tegna Media is no more and is now a division of Nexstar, although there are court challenges by some AGs. The Tegna website as of 5:13PM MDT now redirects to Nexstar's website.
  12. Okay I'm confused, does St. Louis have 2 Telemundo affiliates? WXSL-LD (SagamoreHill Broadcasting) WODK-LD (Innovate Corporation) I'm asking because the News Music search archive is showing new music for WXSL-LD which they say started in 2011 as W26DZ-LP, the website for Telemundo shows WXSL... But if you google or use DuckDuckGo it shows Telemundo as WODK, Wikipedia also shows WODK.
  13. A post on Linked-In by WBBH/NBC Gulf Coast News, shows them near the top of the ratings nationwide this year, kind of a surprise IMO. What is surprising about this, is take a look at KUSA in Denver, & KSL in Salt Lake City, typically these affillates do very well with the winter games nationwide in terms of ratings, 15th (Tied with WLWT) & 12th respectively what is up with that??
  14. I grabbed this off of a facebook video from WINK, this has got to be the most bizarre robo camera I've ever seen, looks like its from Cue Script/Artimo?. This must be some new gizmo? Any other stations have this set up?
  15. Saw this on YouTube, kind of interesting look at how NBC gets the Olympics on the air.
  16. It's interesting to me that the deal between Scrips & Gray involving (KKCO/KOAA/& KJCT) has yet to close and seems to be in waiting... And now they are trying to sell WFTX, WRTV & Court TV. Is scrips in that bad of financial shape? Should scrips even continue with this little trade, or should they just Sell KOAA to Gray and walk away from the Grand Junction deal all together?

  18. Thought you guys might like to see this interview today from KUSA/NBC talking about the rise & fall of daytime tv: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=anQwz92yBhA
  19. Saw this earlier on Facebook & X, a little exchange between some folks and Mr. Jim Schwartzel, where he proclaims he has nothing to do with WINK-TV or WINK-FM.. Uh right, I don't believe this for a minute. So why is WINK news shown on WXCW a "Sun Broadcasting" owned outlet?? It says he has no role in FMBC.
  20. I wonder if this could be part of a plan for after the potential close of the WFTX deal? Maybe WINK will use WFTX's chief instead. However none of the scripps (4) deals have closed yet. (WFTX-SALE, KOAA/KKCO/KJCT SWAP, WRTV-SALE)

  22. KDVR/KFCT & KWGN have a stream going too.. https://kdvr.com/live/weather/?ipid=live_weather_nav
  23. With how poorly put together these documents seem to be, is there a chance this merger goes to an administrative law judge?
  24. Ran across this today: https://rbr.com/fcc-head-reveals-nexstars-tegna-buy-bid-awaits-filing/ Paperwork hasn't even been filed yet, that doesn't seem to be a govt shutdown issue to me. Seems odd that paperwork hasn't been filed.
