Maybe an armchair CEO can explain to me why going FAST only is better than being available OTA and streaming? Is it about carriage deals on the FAST services? Better ad-rates?

I'm still really confused why in the lead up to the NFL Draft coverage last year that WBAY started using the GrayOne ticker and bug and then reverted back to the old style after a couple days.

Tonight's Bruins-Panthers game ran long, AEW was on TBS, and College Basketball was on TruTV, so when the late NHL game started where did they turn? Yes, that's right. They turned to HLN, which erroneously showed the "CNN on HLN LIVE" bug and at one point after a commercial break aired the wrong game. I think you're technically watching "NHL on TNT Sports on CNN on HLN."

I'll be honest: I was watching KARE11 on streaming over the weekend and didn't even notice they were new graphics. I just assumed they were the 'streaming coverage' version of the old package. Also, I think I'm one of the only people who actually thought C Clarity was kinda nice.

I know there are much, much, much more important things to be concerned about with this broadcast, but is that wrapping paper or some sort of tape stuck to Tony's laptop?

Can we just get out ahead of this one and post this piece of future news for, oh, I don't know... 2027?

I'm nowhere near knowledgeable enough about this so I want to ask the more knowledgeable crowd here. Would Sinclair's refusal to air Jimmy Kimmel be enough for Disney/ABC to threaten the termination of all Sinclair's ABC affiliates cross-country immediately? How much are affiliate stations allowed to preempt before the network can intervene? Now the insane exaggeration round: If I owned a TV station and affiliated with ABC could my station air exactly 1 minute of World News Tonight every night from 6:35-6:36pm and still maintain affiliateship? Interesting tidbit: A quick Google search says that Sinclair's contract with ABC expires in 2026. I could see this creating some waves.

I emailed my local affiliates with ABC, Nexstar, and Sinclair to let them know that I will not be watching their stations for the time being. I expect nothing to come of this, but I need my displeasure to be known.

Also worth noting, Newsnation was simulcasting KTLA overnight again.

Random question: Does anybody remember what commercials (if any) FOX News aired advertising coverage of Biden's Inauguration in 2021? I saw the commercial yesterday for Trump's Inauguration while watching NFL on FOX.

Did they have a "Previously Recorded" on the broadcast? There wasn't one on the live stream.
