Shirleen Allicot (who was at 6abc, now at ABC7 New York) was on GMA last weekend, so yeah, I think they're just having local anchors do Pop News.

Alicia filled in at 4pm and 5pm today at the main anchor desk. She also doubled as the feature anchor. Apparently Sharrie will be on GMA Weekend as the Pop News Anchor this weekend.
Yeah, she will be. I'm assuming she's already in New York City so they had Alicia in.

Will Lewis posted on Facebook that this weekend will be his last weekend anchoring and his last day will be March 31. He is going to a station in Charlotte.
Sad. I liked him a lot.

Today Maggie filled the feature anchor role during the 4pm, which Alicia has been doing since Jeannette’s departure and Sarah’s slide over to the anchor desk, and in the close Sarah mentioned both Maggie and Alicia’s names. But Alicia was present on the 5pm in her feature anchor role.
Can’t quite figure out what 6’s plans are but do feel we are closer to finding out in the coming weeks.
She also did the 4pm preview at noon yesterday and was the Big Talkers anchor (I think she was only on Big Talkers yesterday at about 4:42). Maggie has been featured a lot in the past few weeks. I doubt it, but I wonder if they are considering having Maggie on a specified newscast (even if it's not anchor)?

Here are my candidates for 4pm co-anchor, since we should be getting an announcement for the replacement soon.
Very likely
Sarah Bloomquist
Likely
Alicia Vitarelli
Erin O'Hearn
Possible
Maggie Kent
In terms of Melissa's replacement, I hope they bring in someone from outside; not only would I like to see who they would choose, I don't think any of the meteorologists should move to different slots.

Alicia Vitarelli is anchoring at noon.

Thursday’s lineup was the following:
12noon: Sarah solo
4pm: Brian and Sarah
5pm: Brian and Maggie
10pm: Brian and Maggie
Curious to see what Friday brings as Sarah is traditionally off.
Erin O’Hearn occasionally fills in for Sarah. I think this will be the lineup:
12pm: Erin
4pm: Brian and Erin
5pm: Brian and Maggie
10pm: Brian and Maggie
Or, Karen could do the news and weather at noon, LOL.

I’m wondering if they wanted an anchor on both newscasts instead of having two fill-in reporters doing the 5pm? Although not sure I understand why Brian and Sarah didn’t just anchor at 4pm and 5pm ... unless Jim is also off???
I feel like we should have a 4pm anchor announcement in the next month, so maybe they are testing pairs?
Even weirder, both Walter and Gray were in studio doing reports so they could have also filled in.
Yeah, none of this makes any sense. Here is the schedule that I think would have made more sense:
4pm: Brian and Maggie OR Brian and Sarah5pm: Brian and Sarah
6pm: Jim
10pm: Brian and Maggie
11pm: Jim

Now Maggie is with Brian at 4pm. Maybe Brian will be on with Sharrie at 5 and 10, which explains why he was off at noon? But then why can't Sharrie anchor at 4pm? Why do they need to have Maggie?
Nope. Rick and Sharrie are BOTH off, and Erin O'Hearn and Sarah Bloomquist are in at 5.

It's odd, because Brian filled in for Rick on Friday (I think), but Maggie filled in on Monday and Tuesday. Brian isn't off this week; why couldn't he just fill in at 5pm and Sharrie solo at 10pm?

Why are Jessica, Ukee, Kate, and Don on the Sunday night news? Is CBS3 changing them to a Sunday-Thursday schedule, with Joe, Pat, and Lauren on Friday and Saturday?

Lauren Casey isn't using the temporary weather studio. She's been doing her forecasts this weekend from their outdoor deck in a winter coat.
I noticed that. At first I thought there was an issue in the studio, but she did it both nights, and Llarisa was in the temp. weather studio this morning. Maybe it was a personal choice of hers? Although I don't know why she would want to stand outside in the cold.

Apparently, Drew Anderson is leaving already. I assume it was announced on the morning show today, but I didn’t see it. Someone commented on his most recent Tweet saying it - can anybody confirm?

Looks like Ukee and Jessica have individual setups in front of separate monitors. It doesn't look like either are in the main studio at all so we may finally see them getting a much needed new set.
That's what I was thinking. Jessica and Ukee have been at completely different desks since December or so, but now it looks like neither of them are in the studio at all. The lighting was pretty bad last night when I watched; it looked like they were all at home, especially Kate.

I liked him. I think I've only seen him anchor once, on Christmas Eve last year. Sad to see him go.

Kate Bilo posted on her Instagram story that they are making some changes to the studio. Now the weather room is behind the area where Don Bell does sports. The lightning in the studio looked very different.

I just (like literally just now) heard a rejoin voiceover that I've never heard before. Here's how it went:
"Action News, Delaware Valley's leading news program, now continues."
Has anyone heard this before?
Still hearing this voiceover, but only at 4pm. Hour-long weekend evening newscasts use the generic rejoin (Action News continues). I wonder why they choose to air this at 4?

The noon anchors this week were different pretty much every day.
Monday: Walter & Sarah
Tuesday: Walter & Sarah
Wednesday: Sarah
Thursday: Brian & Sarah
Friday: Brian
-
I wonder why. Walter and Sarah were spaced out during the noon show on Tuesday.

I’ve seen Walter fill in one or two other times at noon, but I don’t recall him ever filling in at 4pm. I assume it’s because of the winter weather, otherwise Sarah would’ve soloed at noon and Rick would’ve filled in at 4pm.
Presumably, especially since they were doing live cut-ins every hour.

Walter Perez is filling in for Brian at noon today. He was also on Saturday and Sunday nights. I can't remember ever seeing him at noon (of course aside from when he anchored the Sunday news at noon).
-
Tom closed World News Weekend for the last time a few moments ago. I'll miss him anchoring the news.

Jessica's doing traffic again. Maybe Chris Sowers can replace Melissa, Karen can replace Chris on weekend mornings, and Jessica can replace Karen doing traffic on weekday mornings?

...or do they finally make a move and promote one of the reporters to Sunday (and possibly Saturday) evening co-anchor, in which case my bets are on Jaclyn Lee, Erin O’Hearn, or Nydia Han. Of course, all of this means nothing if they bring someone in from outside.
Wasn't Jaclyn hired as a reporter AND anchor? She came in January and I haven't seen her anchor on any newscast since then. I think they should give Jaclyn Saturday and Sunday with Walter, and then Sarah changes to a normal Monday through Friday schedule, anchoring at noon and 4. There have been times where Sarah would almost certainly replace someone as anchor, and then didn't (like when Matt and Sarah on weekday mornings suddenly turned into Matt and Tamala, or when Sharrie replaced Monica).
