  1. The government has more important problems to worry avout right now, than on the situation on Television stations. Not even the FCC could save them.
  2. Okay, everyone, I'm sorry for the semi-all-caps rant but if Scripps DOES get WPIX, WHO WOULD EVEN GET THE CW?? WPXN IS NOT AN GOOD CHOICE, I don't even think it has even has a programing schedule for the CW if they have that. Like, I'm actually sick of this udder stupidity of this whole situation about WPIX and stuff. It feels like, if Nexstar shuts down WPIX, then it might be good for y'all at this point because Nexstar isn't controlling it. Please, all I just want is to give me an example on how Nexstar messed UP WDAF-TV, then maybe I'll change my example. Otherwise, please don't respond to me over this comment. Just don't.
  3. Just like in the Pre-1995 days. But I feel like the CW probably is gonna cringe at the thought at them being without an New York affiliate because I don't know who's gonna give the CW an chance in NYC if WPIX does turn independent?
  4. Also, a little note, some of Mission Broadcasting's first stations were actually operated by Sinclair until 2001. 1.) I didn't say anything else. Anyway, I really think Mission was bored into how long it was for them. Ah yes, LMA. (Especially for the conflict because of WPIX, really Adell?)
  5. LIKE THEY COULD'VE OWNED KQTV, IT WAS ONE OF THE SMALLER MARKETS But they didn't because, why? I don't know. It would've been an better addition to WDAF if KQTV was still owned by Nexstar. Also, Nexstar never owned WAAY-TV, Calkins owned it but it overlapped with WAFF.
  6. Update: Mission Broadcasting just said, "nope" to acquiring WADL-TV
  7. Hello, it was me that did that. The reason was to explain that if ANY stations (in this case, KSHB) tries to put an 9pm newscast, it will get beaten by WDAF-TV. But yea, this seems boring...
  8. Despite the fact KMBC is the market leader, WDAF is considered an strong 2nd place, with the 9pm timeslot being considered an leader due to the longevity (WDAF started an prime-time newscast in 1994)
  9. Locally in Kansas City, if any and I will repeat this literally ANY Television station tries to put an 9pm newscast on thier main channel or if they are in a duopoly, the secondary channel, it WILL get defeated by WDAF-TV (A FOX AFFILIATE) because Channel 4 just have the experience with an 9pm newscast SINCE 1994. It doesn't even care if it's Channel 9, 5, or 41, it will lose against Channel 4. That's an local, but important example why the Plan B wouldn't be an More News situation.
  10. That's one of the reasons I'm happier that KCWE is owned by Hearst because at least with Hearst, they won't mess it all up. Also, I know this (given Hearst) won't happen but if Mission Broadcasting is forced to sell it off to Hearst, that'll be unexpected.
  11. The fact they introduced it while in a police chase is so Los Angeles. Also, that graphics are really AMAZING.
  12. I'm thinking about how the Fox O&O Stations would put it. I mean, because of the fact they have GMFB.
  13. Huh, it's weird that they wouldn't re-acquire WDAF.
  14. So Fox could've literally took the affiliation away from WDAF?
  15. Did they ever think about the consequences when they tried to aquire WDAF-TV in Kansas City, WJW in Cleveland, and the rest of the Tribune Media stations? Nope. They never did anything to think about the consequences about what they did or the consequences. I don't think they would ever EVEN thought about cashing in years ago.
  16. Thanks, that conversation Tuesday was just stupid at best, and at worse, just plain ANNOYING.
  17. Did you forget what he said– You know what? Please refain from talking about this topic. Like, actually refain. My mind can't take your nonsense talking anymore.
  18. That's really irrelevant for this matter. *Facepalms from the stupidity of the comment.* Bro... He's not cheering INSP or Coastal/Vision. (The raccoon, Nathan Obral) He's just saying that the ones that are likely to buy KATU is Coastal Television/Vision or INSP.
  19. Exactly. It's about the SINCLAIR BROADCAST GROUP for Pete's Sake, not some dumb list which gets off-topic easily.
  20. This ain't PBS, this is about Commercial Television Stations. They make money, that is the PURPOSE. Were talkin' about the owners of KOMO-TV and KATU, not Oregon Public Broadcasting or KCTS-TV.
  21. Correctly said. I wanna also say that station owners like Hearst, and Graham Media rarely aquire stations.
  22. INSP ≠ Godcaster INSP is not and will NEVER be an Godcaster for these stations, and won't turn to an Godcaster.
  23. Not really for KSMO-TV... KSMO got sold off in 2005, so they were basically very lucky not to be extremely messed up by Sinclair. NOPE, NOT Coastal Television but maybe Imagicomm provided if they don't own any stations in Sinclair markets.
  24. KSMO-TV during the WB/Sinclair days deserved better. –From an Kansas Citian.
  25. Hearst almost never aquires stations besides WBBH and WZVN in Fort Myers–Naples, Florida because then-owners wanted to sell the stations before someone turns 100.
