  1. On the topic of WFXT, why the Massachusetts did Fox not buy the station again, for the third time? Either they are literally hyper-focused on what their doing or little-focused on their stations.
  2. Exactly! It doesn't care if it looks smaller than what people think, if it works, it works. I know that WSVN is in Miami, but geez, That's too weird for an Television station, works better on CNN- Wait, CNN's sets got inspired by 'SVN.
  3. I do hope NBC would move it to WALA-TV, just so they would have an nice little reunion with NBC after 2 and a half decades of being an Fox Affiliate. (Of course, with Fox being on 10.1)
  4. Why was under different circumstances? Well, because, Sinclair tried to aquire Tribune Broadcasting but failed.
  5. Even the Boston Celtics cared for the station more. Also, why did Fox even sell off WFXT, just to get KTVU? They could've owned KTVU and KICU.... and have the Boston station as well. It's like how Fox regained WITI in 2020. Like I know they wanted to aquire KCPQ.
  6. It shows even Fox hates the Fox News Channel.
  7. *2018 repeats again.* But no seriously on this one, and I'm being serious, this crap is going to kill the good reputation of a boat-load of Sinclair-owned stations. The situation in 2018 was bad enough, given Sinclair was trying to aquire Tribune Broadcasting/Media, but did Sinclair have to do this in 2024, an presidential election year?
  8. This was mentioned as a topic over in the 'Nexstar Aquires 75% of The CW' thread until it got locked.
  9. Okay, I can't look at the full thing because, Twitter/X is just plain ol' annoying. But that gotta break some standards.
  10. My Fox Station and former O&O WDAF-TV (Channel 4) in Kasnas City, have been in the same building since 1949, and it's in pretty good condition.
  11. That's probably what I was meaning, they used the some of the space from KUHT. I didn't say anything that Channel 8 did anything else other than give the allow to the studios.
  12. When KHOU's studios flooded, it actually used some of the space from KUHT in the Melcher Center for Public Broadcasting until KHOU got new studios in 2019 because Channel 11's previous/flooded studios was inundated and wasn't available.
  13. Wow, they really did change. I doesn't look like an New York Clear-Channel Television station anymore.
  14. Yeet that man's broadcast license. But no seriously, the fact that he doesn't allow WADL-TV to be an major factor due to greed to the point he threw away an WHOLE $75 Million offer from Mission Broadcasting exactly explains what type of person he is. That and making WFDF (The other broadcast NON-Cable/Television property he owns) from an African-American focused talk station which could compete against iHeartMedia-owned Black Infomation Network and WDFN, BIN's Detroit Affiliate, to just an ordinary conservative talk station, which is really dumb since they have to compete with WDTK (albeit the signal is better on WFDF than on WDTK) and WJR. WJR is literally an Clear-Channel Station. On 760AM. WJR's signal is protected—by the Federal Communications Commission—at Night-time. WFDF have to also compete with an clear-channel station. Seriously, Adell?? Also, I probably think that racketeering is an felony, so there's a chance he might lose WFDF and WADL-TV. (Also, the article doesn't mention his ownership to WADL-TV)
  15. Doing an small bump to remind Y'all that the deal to sell WJMN-TV outta Escanaba–Marquette, Michigan has been approved by the FCC. (Check the Michigan section.)
  16. Also, can we not forget the other stations dropping the CW on Sept 1? Just saying.
  17. Yea, bit that's an example of "cable-only in that market station" Also, Cable providers are probably not going to spend time putting the CW+ and put WTVX from Fort Pierce-West Palm Beach or WXCW from Naples-Ft. Myers in Miami, Florida cable systems. And in Tuscon, it'll put KAZT from Phoenix-Prescott, Arizona.
  18. Glendive relays on TV station in Billings for ABC, Fox (and MyNetworkTV) and The CW+ (That and PBS, but we're talking about Commercial stations.) Even KXGN-TV has some newscasts from KTVQ (Q2) on 5.1 and KULR-TV on 5.2 Both KTVQ and KULR are in Billings. The networks are probably more smarter than in 1994 surrounding ownership-induced affiliation swaps.
  19. Okay? Mostly what I said was more of a rant because I don't understand the hate against Nexstar. I am sorry for some of the stuff I said and yes, you are entitled to your opinion. But no seriously, I don't think the FCC would waste time forcing cable providers to put the CW+ as part of the Must-carry rules. That's probably not the choice the FCC facing. I also don't think anyone (WBSF, WLAJ-DT2) is going to put an translator in the Detroit market (How would that work?) Mostly, I'm saying the more viable option is though WDIV-TV 4.2, it might not work, but it could work. Also, they only got into the larger markets around 2017-2019 with the Media General deal in 2017 and the Tribune Media deal in 2019 so that could be the reason. That or he's lazy.
  20. I wonder what KCTV5 would be doing on their 5.3 subchannel since This TV is gone.
  21. Exactly. Graham is going to put it in the CoziTV Channel (WDIV-TV 4.2) ... Do I have to even explain? This community thinks Nexstar is the devil, Perry Sook should never have been hired at WOWK and WPXI, and other stuff. And you literally say "And is this a bad thing?" ARE YOU KIDDING ME?? DID YOU NOT SEE THE WORDING ON THE WALL??? Like, Look. You and I are on the same page since we both live in Nexstar-Owned Fox Affiliates. (WJW and WDAF.) The only reason why Nexstar even aquired it is because both stations since the 1980s was aquired by multiple companies For WJW: KKR, Gillett, SCI, New World. For WDAF-TV: Taft, Great American/Citicasters, New World. Both WJW and WDAF-TV: New World, Fox, LocalTV, Tribune [Almost SINCLAIR], and now Nexstar. So yea, you hate Nexstar, that's why I said that, and please don't dare reply to me, okay?
  22. Oh yea, I forgot that how dumb Kevin the idiot Adell is. I don't think an reputable broadcaster would want to do anything, I'm not doing anything to an magic wand, I'm just saying that Adell should've shutted it down since he did nothing to help that station, including destroying an $75 million deal. The most viable option is WDIV. Which is not going to work that well, I suppose thinking about it. Even if they put it on their .2 subchannel. The CW loses coverage in Detroit. *Womp Womp* Congrats Nexstar, You have no shame causing this.
  23. *Ahem* No one in the right world will ever put The CW Plus, IN A TOP 25 MARKET, NOT EVEN NEXSTAR would put in NewsNation. This is not WGN-TV in the Mid-1990s with the WB. That's an idea, that can work... Why would Graham not help with the CW in Detroit??? So they do that own the CW station in Jacksonville, Florida? (WCWJ, the former WJKS, Channel 17) I also don't think even Daystar, or the Tri State Christian Television (TCT) would even focus on WADL-TV. No-one, chances are, he's gonna probably shut the station down, for all it takes.
  24. Oh my bad, thought it was an change in Louisville, KY.
