  1. They won’t do that. There coming back to CW they were one before they never rebranded. CW will be put on the logo
  2. Couldnt they put it on their Raleigh stations WLFL/WRDC that’s a duopoly and Fresno KMPH/KFRE that a duopoly there yet they wanted to put it on 2 ABC O&Os in the same respective station essentially they’re paying the competition. They have soup olives in Raleigh and Fresno why would they put it in a competing station in their respective cities.
  3. 2010 was the last time they debuted a new set that was when Allison Floyd and Tim McGinnis were anchors and Rich Chrampanis was still sports director all of them gone. That’s how long they had the set.
  4. Yeah it pretty difficult to get WPLG on board with a subchannel. Especially that WPLG does News for WSFL and with them dumping the affiliation that newscast is likely over. That might put a bad taste in Grahams mouth that means Scripps was not happy with their deal.
  5. What about WNYW they produce less hours of news compared to WPIX their CW competitor, they also don’t air or simulcast news on WWOR. There in the same boat as KTTV. The only difference is NY doesn’t do an 11pm show to compete against it CW competitor and FOX is #1 over CW in NYC.
  6. It called tradition, we need to keep them. Just like how WPVI the mother of the Action News brand would never do something like this and drop it. Or even worse drop Move Closer to your world. Jim Gardner retired from channel 6, in 10 years should we drop the “Action News” branding and MCTYW? No. Because it’s tradition. WXYZ in Detriot caved to modernism by rebranding.
  7. I could see him coming back to network. But Rob probably not leaving so no open slot. But maybe he do features and transition of off weather. He really good with features it’s like he never left GMA.
  8. That to get WPIX fully in their hands. Not gonna like WPIX has been saved because of Nexstar.
  9. It was shut down I was part of the team I got the call while I was on vacation. While I cannot explain the full details it was an abrupt shut down for us.
  10. Wow never seen a big market station celebrate a morning show anniversary that’s uniquely Chicago. I think it’s great I don’t recall lots of stations marking anniversaries of news expansions, I see them on Univisión and Telemundo stations but not English language.
  11. WNJU has been broadcasting from Fletcher Ave in Fort Lee since CNBC moved up 9W to Englewood Cliffs. I think before that they were in a small building in Teterboro Correct my bad yes Fort Lee, since 2004. There Teterboro building was nice because the sets in that building was a view of the small newsroom they had.
  12. It’s hard moving a station into another building especially across the river into New York you would think this wouldn’t be hard but I agree it’s should be done by now. But NYC traffic probably slows it down. Also WNJU has been in there current Linden, NJ facility for 20 years since 2004. Also the FCC has probably got to approve the move they have to have a presence in their city of license even if newscast are moving to 30 Rock according to guidelines.
  13. They never be weekend morning news.
  14. I don't think Fox would do that. Also KWGN news department could fall if they split with KDVR since they share resources. When Tribune/Nexstarwas happening they're was worry if KWGN got spun off they'd shut down the news department. KDVR (a bit the younger station) has KWGN wrapped around its finger.
  15. No its sexism and in some way racism also keep in mind this happened to Sue over at 4. It sexism cause an older women can’t be on air as long as a man it gives off those mysoynist vibes, and I’m injecting race into it because I haven’t seen this happen to a Caucasian women. All the white females I’ve seen retire have been given fantastic send-offs. You literally mentioned how the took part of the NYSBA video so they didn’t even do an organic goodbye, that shows there in it for money and could care less. I thought it was disingenuous that one of the bosses at WCBS who should remain unnamed was on that NYSBA video saying how great she was and was one of the bosses that probably green lighted her being taken off the desk.
  16. He deserves a National job I think he’s be great for NewsMax as breaking news anchor, Greg Kelly has been successful there.
  17. All the time NY, Boston, LA, Miami Share talent some journalists are not Latino but provide reports because their fluent in Spanish.
  18. Yeah but I think they will give up some stations for WPIX it's the network flagships that like ABC giving up WABC, giving up WPIX who gonna take care of the East Coast Feed. I see them divesting to keep PIX and Detroit though the D isn't that important. But if they lose to the FCC thryll probably divest some stations to keep 11.
  19. He gonna fight to keep Detroit and New York because there crucial CW markets.
  20. I think KABC will have a customized palette scheme they’ll use light blues shade that they use with current graphics package. It would give off the Southern California, I don’t think dark blue will fit them. I could also see the morning opens having a yellow shade. I’m pretty sure the reason there the last O&O to switchover cause they want the new look to be tailored to SoCal.
