  1. I’m gonna tell the fcc to knock it off I’m doing it on behalf of WTVD. This is very serious no tv license has been cancelled before it rarely happens.
  2. You know Bill Ritter may be the last anchor WABC has in a big caliber I haven’t seen Mike Marza enough to accurately say he’ll fill his shoes. But this is a great loss for them. What’s your thoughts on Mike Marza? Could he fill his shoes.
  3. This very much reminds see I have some family in NYC I’d watch Bill all the time always engaged energetic newsman. I reminded me where I live locally where an anchor had a similar situation he stepped down and announced he had ALS. That station was WABC sister station WTVD it was another prominent anchor announcing he stepping down due to an essential slow death sentence. I wish bill very well is there a survival rate.
  4. Now I’m worried about Christine? I’m watching the video right now. Maybe it’s best tv news anchors, reporters, meteorologists remain apolitical as a conservative myself it even gives me the ick. Even after there retired keep that to yourself I’ve seen retired personalities reveal there political views and I look at them differently after, maybe it’s just me because they did a good job hiding it all these years, but the moment the open up I get the ick. This is coming into a perspective for me I used to get enamored with local news personalities, have crushes on them pretend there my imaginary friends because I had some loneliness and validation issues, but I’ve realized like my mom said that just a curated persona I don’t know these people maybe it’s best I don’t either nor meet these people. But the bottom line I’ve learned is I can’t get close to these people they could be racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, xenophobic, anti-Semitic, horrible people who harbor these views and probably support people like Chud the builder, or agreed with January 6th rioters, and are just like the types of people they report on. There just civilized, go to work and take care of there family, and tolerate there female and minority colleagues but in there hearts they might be awful people. If you follow me and my posts on this forum my attachment to these people almost spilled onto here about a meteorologist, this video I will bookmark this video because I need a reminder, I’m not saying they’ll all this way. But some of them don’t hide it on air.
  5. I just hope he doesn’t become a me me me like his successor. Hopefully Christine can shine, she been underused every male co anchor she has been able to be a leader never her.
  6. I think Fox is having problems at most of there O&Os in large markets pretty much most of there metro media era stations have dull talent, low ratings, and are suffering this problem is not just KTTV. I think losing Elex Michelson was pretty big but he was always determined to go national, it was inevitable he used them as there playground. Fox might need to pull back the brinks trucks and pull some national talent or at least pull them on a part-time basis. On its stations. On the other hand please make Christine Devine the face of the station, I don’t dislike Marla but she has the highest seniority. They constantly never used her to there best and if she ever decides to retire it really will be over for them.
  7. Same here at WTVD in Raleigh I remember it to the last Oprah and the premiere of Eyewitness News at 4pm we actually became the #1 show in the market.
  8. Wow he is great I wish him the best in retirement.
  9. He put Atlanta on the map to compete with New York and Washington for national news HQs.
  10. True… I just know if you were in a severe weather area pretty much anywhere outside of California they wouldn’t hire you as a weather person unless you’re a bonified met. Except in small markets they’ll let that pass. I’m shocked to see it in New York with that Fox weather presenter at WNYW.
  11. I guess so, no hurricanes, just rain mostly. Snow falls in the mountains. Dallas Raines and Adam Krueger seem to be the only certified Mets in the market with actual degrees, and not those certs from Miss state.
  12. That’s horrible man, she got 3 kids prayers up to her and her family.
  13. Why does LA not have so many certified Mets for the number 2 market?
  14. Bill days are getting numbered bet ya he doesn’t make it pass 2027. It’s be generous if he stays for 2028.
  15. She not going anywhere, the station could burn down to the ground and she’ll still anchor the weekend newscasts.
  16. I never understood why, he go to the weather channel he was fine on ABC. I thought it was weird back then we he got it.
  17. Legacy I’m the market then. Were John and Craig at different stations in NY before PIX? no.
  18. Kaity has legacy status, and she on the weekend she ain’t going anywhere unless she retires.
  19. WPIX used to be a great station sometimes I’d watch them over FOX. I think when those changes happened in 2010 with that news director it sent everything crashing down for that station, after they rid Kaity and Jim they never really recovered from those changes. This era they currently had was some stability for the first time since.
  20. I have a feeling she is going national, or returning to Chicago. Her boyfriend Brandon Baylor works for CBS Sports so unless he moving somewhere she’s going with him. actually correct that I think they broke up.
  21. There outrage in the black media world over Janai’s departure, really because she got no send off or a chance to say goodbye.
  22. That fact she’ll be doing work for WABC is a sign that ABC is trying to make this hire as affordable as possible kinda like the Perry Russom gig with WABC. So they’ll give her some local time. ABC hiring on the cheap here.
  23. Good Lee Goldberg is apart of the network I just saw his age he’s still very young. But 2 salaries doesn’t hurt.
  24. I thought Dani Beckstrom would get it
  25. Yes. She’s just on maternity leave.
