I'm calling it the new WNBC because over the next few months we will see many changes coming to the station.. One of them being a new noon newscast..

Interesting part about that noon newscast? It's being added to the schedule... effective as of today. Shiba Russell and Tom Llamas are the anchors. This replaces the much-panned "Rundown".

Yes and what I was surprised at is that they have the 5:00 team anchoring instead of the morning team like Channel 2 and 7

Yeah, interesting. I was watching the broadcast on Wednesday, didn't seem much like a "Rundown" it felt more like a full blown newscast. So I guess this is the start of a new beginning for WNBC. I'm hoping they are gonna return to their past bring their quality back again much like before.

Checking the schedule for 4.2 I noticed most of the news programming and the news updates in the morning are gone.

Did they stop doing those shows around the time the 12pm newscast started or was it earlier?

Only The DeBrief with David Ushery and NY Nightly News with Chuck Scarborough remain on the schedule.

In other news the annual holiday promo is airing as of this week.
