Yeah I know 2 & 4 got to react live, 5 had late news but I don't know if they hit 11:30, I DO know they also went rolling coverage, 11 might have online but OTA they I assume broke into Seinfeld (and they pre-empted the Honeymooners, something I didn't know they were capable of doing), 7 definately had coverage online although that might have started just after, they had a box cover the outside of the picture to say so which looked oddly closer to channel 5's graphics package than 7's...the coverage popped on OTA after Inside the NBA ended, close to 1 AM (oddly started with a breaking news bumper rather than the 11pm open despite the newscast being scheduled after the game) Of the two I saw, Channel 4 seemed to actually call the final play of the game, Channel 2 i think did the same to an extent but they seemed to be somewhat in disbelief. I have to check if I actually did get a DVR of Channel 5
swaggyboi128 10 Posted Thursday at 02:04 PM Posted Thursday at 02:04 PM Parade coverage seems to be either using a still shot or a live feed of the empty N4NY studio for some graphics. We also had the station referenced as "WNBC" a few minutes ago going into said shot of the studio, wondering if it was supposed to be a verbal ID (since they didn't flash up the usual WNBC NEW YORK chryon) but it was just "WNBC"
swaggyboi128 10 Posted Thursday at 02:52 PM Posted Thursday at 02:52 PM Peacock/NBCSN Extra (one of them, at least) simulcasting channel 4s coverage, obviously sans commercials. May also be off-air as we had a bit of no-audio coming out of the last comm break before sounds were cued up
swaggyboi128 10 Posted Thursday at 04:10 PM Posted Thursday at 04:10 PM (edited) Channel 4 was commercial-free for about 2 hours but now is having breaks every 5 minutes or so it seems like Edit: they also seem to be having trouble getting to Dave Price whenever they go to him, think he mightve mentioned that before. Getting commercials in before the ceremony starts. Brian Stelter's Reliable Sources newsletter provided insight into technical issues (picture and hand offs) are due to overused cell networks: " "So many people have converged downtown that it’s actually presenting some technical challenges for the TV crews, especially those that are sending in live signals via cellular, using the same jam-packed networks as all the fans. If a live shot suddenly seems blurry to you, that might be why! Everyone is competing for precious cell phone tower bandwidth."
swaggyboi128 10 Posted Thursday at 05:09 PM Posted Thursday at 05:09 PM They muted a couple times during Brunson's speech, presumably to try and mute him swearing...they missed...twice... Also a live F-bomb got on the air during an early spectator interview
swaggyboi128 10 Posted Thursday at 05:46 PM Posted Thursday at 05:46 PM N4NY ended coverage around 1:35 and went to dateline, conveniently blowing off the last bit of anyone recording the channel at least on YouTube tv by saying Dateline started at 1
MediaZone4K 2683 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago (edited) Update on Pat Battle. Her first post since about last year, in reaction to the Knicks victory. She's rocking a shaven head, with no context around that. Multiple Instagram comments express support and say they're rooting for her. Ms. Battle has shared multiple times on the air that she is a breast cancer survivor. Whatever she's going through right now, apparently cancer, all the best to her.... she's literally got fight in her last name Edited 3 hours ago by MediaZone4K 1
