NBC 5 Chicago 196 Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 On Friday November 23, 2012, Stefan and Lester will anchor a special Noon newscast from NBC 5. Details Here It will be very interesting to watch. I always liked the Today Show teases when Stefan was on during the weekends.
24994J 5619 Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 Okay, this is going to be all kinds of awesome. The anchor assignments/teams on holidays are always fun...like Kathy Brock last Christmas morning!
thafernykid 2 Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 For some reason I thought of the SNL character...
CircleSeven 1960 Posted November 19, 2012 Posted November 19, 2012 WOW! And notice they're doing it two days after sweeps, on Black Friday. Probably won't get giant viewership since folks would still be shopping but this will be one for the ages. When I saw this caption, it highly reminded me when Bill Curtis & Walter Jacobson did that 10pm newscast back three years ago. Well this will be the first time Lester anchoring a Chicago newscast since ditching his 'mustache'.
MorningNews 1483 Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 I wish I could see this! Does WMAQ stream their newscast online?
Jase 1065 Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 I wish I could see this! Does WMAQ stream their newscast online? That's a good question. I'm not sure they stream all of their newscasts online. They may with this one given the unique circumstances however.
24994J 5619 Posted November 20, 2012 Posted November 20, 2012 They initially streamed the noon show, then added the 4:30, but now it seems like they've dropped the noon stream...or it doesn't work too well. They have arguably the best quality feed, but it's the most unreliable to watch. The link is on TVNewsStreams.net
CircleSeven 1960 Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 It's about to start in seconds. Live Stream is on their website.
abric 181 Posted November 23, 2012 Posted November 23, 2012 I missed it. I hope someone recorded some part of it.
