Slightly off topic, but all of TEGNA's ex-corporate relative newspapers have "deemphasized" that they are "A Gannett Company" on their websites and such, and instead are going with the tagline "Part of the USA Today Network".

Which also still have all the TEGNA stations listed.

Probably because USA Today still uses its now half-siblings (TEGNA stations) for some content, along with its full-siblings (Gannett's newspapers)

For some reason, WBIR either decided to bring back the first standardized graphics from before the split fro their live at 5 newscasts, or they may have kept them, but only for those newscasts

I also heard them say "Live at 5 at 4"

Dear god is that atrocious.

But what if they decide to go back to 5? Would it be "Live at 4 at 5"?

The Dyslectic may get confused thus violating provisions of the ADA.

They haven't changed the "LIVE at 5" branding since they went to 4 and I don't think they'll go back to 5 anytime soon, which is why I think it should rebrand as "LIVE at 4"

Well they said my sister didn't know she was preggers...but she was.

They might decide they want some of those political dollars and "add" a 5pm....or the GM might just get a wild hair up his butt and switch back without consulting anyone on TVNT.

The way it is now they get the best of both worlds.....kinda like that Caitlyn Jenner....easy to switch back.

Then shouldn't they say "LIVE at 4" instead?

According to Wikipedia, viewers liked the quirky name while they were trying to find a permanent name. Therefore its been "LIVE at 5:00 at 4:00" every since.

I've noticed that the LSB stations still haven't updated their sites and it's late into January. When are they going to update them?

With the new platform rolling out, it was pushed to the July time frame.

At this point, here are the stations that haven't updated their websites yet in order of market size (excluding KMSB): 11Alive, KHOU, WTSP, NWCN (not sure if it'll get an update, but it probably will), KING 5, KENS, WWL, WLTX, WMAZ, and all of the LSB stations.

UPDATE: All of TEGNA's stations, except for the LSB stations (they should really have them updated by May, rather than July), have updated their websites.

Yesterday FTVLive reported on the pettiness of TEGNA management about their union employees. Union employees will not be reimbursed for parking fees at the new KING 5 studio nor are they able to access an employee discount program for major purchases. Today the story got picked up by Gawker bringing the issue to a larger audience.

KGW had this problem predating the split by about 6 months (and this was when KGW was owned by Sander Media and operated by Gannett, later TEGNA, via an SSA), complete with a possibility of KGW's airwaves being sold off to the FCC's incentive auction. It seems that according to those articles, it's more company-wide than we previously though, and we would expect Sinclair or maybe Nexstar to do that. Not TEGNA of all station groups

For those keeping track of the Lone Star Group, KAGS rolled out the new website platform today.

The rest of the group will follow suit over the course of the next few months.

And KAGS got it before KCEN? Even that's hard to believe.
