Daybreak 288
NBC 5 in Dallas is debuting their brand new state of the art studio this weekend and uploaded pictures of the studio on their website. It's very nice so far. Can't wait to see it in action. Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/13054-kxas-new-studios/ Share on other sites

CLTNewsWatch 4
Can anybody say Clickspring?! The set was actually designed by Jack Morton/PDG, unlike most NBC O&O's: http://www.newscaststudio.com/2013/11/01/dfw-nbc-oo-gives-sneak-peak-of-new-sets/ Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/13054-kxas-new-studios/#findComment-92452 Share on other sites

AaronQ 282
Friday was the last day of their broadcast in their old studio. And their new studio is beautiful. http://www.nbcdfw.com/news/local/Farewell_to_Broadcast_Hill_Dallas-Fort-Worth-230305831.html Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/13054-kxas-new-studios/#findComment-92489 Share on other sites
rah6448 21
The set design shown here from KXAS' new facility seems to support a hypothesis that I have held since FX changed their direction, and BDI installed KSL's new set: it seems that Clickspring has made itself a trendsetter, and/or also the other design companies saw a very high practicality value in this style, and seem to be following suit in their own unique way. There are differences in the materials and colors/lighting used, and also certain shapes to the designs we see from firm to firm. By and large, though we seem to have established the new mode in TV set design...and it's a pretty great new norm! Mrtraveler01 738
And it looks like the new set came with new graphics that we haven't seen before. Seems like it's a hybrid of Look F. http://www.nbcdfw.com/video/#!/news/local/Man-Killed-in-Struggle-Over-Stun-Gun/230380501 Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/13054-kxas-new-studios/#findComment-92506 Share on other sites

MidwestTV 1232
Why not just actually USE Look F? But either way, they look pretty nice! I don't know why some elements of it remind me of WNBC's aurora package or whatever people called it. I don't suspect anyone has created a type of montage yet.
