This is not good news for me and many of us on this board. Am I that out of touch with what NYC viewers really want to see? Credibility has been replaced by lameness and brainless. I guess we have entered a new era of news anchoring. RIP to all the great old anchor teams.

I guess some lonely desperate young females who cant get a man Chris Wragge is the closest they can get. I guess viewer habits change or people watch out of curiosity for the first day. I remember Roz first sweeps CBS2 News at 11 they came in second, afterwards it went downhill.

Since CBS2 is on a roll why not put out Dana and Jim and make Chris and Kristine anchor the 6 as well since NY viewers want empty heads than experience.

Now that's very interesting. Somneone is lying or something is wrong.

I took it right from the overnights that get printed out.

Can someone look into this?

Wow, Johnson and Wragge top the newscast ratings list? That's a surprise.

And if they think they can hang on for long, Well let me just put two words to the mix.

GOOD LUCK!!!

Don't believe it...

Look at the lead-in. WCBS usually does very well on Monday nights because of the "CSI: Miami" lead-in....good ratings for WCBS has nothing to do with Chris & Kristine their newscast.

If the ratings posted are correct, then i am speechless. Maybe viewers do want a new/younger team.

Then how come Dana and Jim couldn't get those ratings (if they are in fact correct)?

Its definitely the lead in that they have, a lot of people do watch CSI, anyway I don't think it'll last long. WABC will come right back to haunt them, lol. They only beat WABC by a hair strand anyway, lol.

They suck period. They suck so much that even the live stream goes dead.

Total horses*it. Don't believe the spin WCBS will put on their numbers. The day WCBS beats WABC at 11PM for an entire month is the day I resign.

oh my god.

Well, I guess this is the beginning of a permanent Chris/Kristine lead newscast. Whether WCBS came in first or second does not matter. That BC article implies they came in second. Whatever it is, this is enough for Dunn to make this a longterm team.

And I think Lonnie is back at 11. And possibly 6 as well. No mention of being in for John on either. Which we know John is still with the station, at least through that weather special on Saturday and all the promos with him in them. But I just feel more comforted when I hear "in for ... "

note: funny how the BC article links to "wcbs.com." They should check links before they put it live on the web.

Maybe they could let Jim anchor and just put a picture of Chris in the corner of the screen?

I hope the numbers are right. Some of you might not like Chris and Kristine, that's your own right. I'm just happy for the reporters who do an amazinging job every night bringing us the news on WCBS which includes Lou Young, Hazel Sanchez, Breendan Keefe, Kirsten Cole, etc. It's unfortunate WCBS has been in 3rd place ever since, viewers missed out on these great reporters. For their excellence, they deserved to be watched.

Problem is--- those aren't the reporters we see every NIGHT. We see all the new guys running the 11pm show. Not fair to the three of four people who have been with the station since before the turn of the millennium who now work days.

The picture would have better charisma than Chris, I think.

Journalistic accomplishments aside, from a pure Beefcake standpoint I prefer Jim to Chris (and as an aside Jim has never appeared on any local station with anything less than excellant fashion-EVER!!!).
