ColDayNews 438 Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Once again, Fox News Channel is pre-empting its' opinion programming tonight for coverage of the celebrations in Times Square. It will be hosted by Kimberly Guilfoyle and Eric Bolling with FNC correspondents and contributors (Tom Shillue, Joanne Nochusinsky, Sherrod Small and Bernie McGuirk) reporting on the streets. It will be preceded by a special edition of The Five at 8pm EST. IMO, this should be simulcast on the Fox broadcast network as a Fox News Special Presentation instead of Pitbull's special from Miami. Just my opinion.

TheRolyPoly 2592 Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 FOX did do Vegas with Mario Lopez before switching over to Miami and Pitbull's New Year's Revolution.

nomadcowatbk 156 Posted December 31, 2015 Posted December 31, 2015 Why doesn't FNC cover a celebration from "Real America" like Topeka KS?
RGSJenkins 435 Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 Why doesn't FNC cover a celebration from "Real America" like Topeka KS? Not American enough or too American to air.
Studio B 20 Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 IMO, this should be simulcast on the Fox broadcast network as a Fox News Special Presentation instead of Pitbull's special from Miami. Just my opinion. Fox generally half-asses their New Years coverage but even so, I'm not certain that simulcasting FNC's coverage would do any better than what they currently show. Especially since everybody besides ABC is an also-ran.

Eat News 4745 Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 I still don't get why CBS never does New years. Because CBS viewers are in bed by 8pm.
Action Newsroom 1300 Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 I still don't get why CBS never does New years. I would say because they know that they can't compete with ABC, and probably NBC and even Fox, but... Because CBS viewers are in bed by 8pm. Eat News' response is way better.

Eat News' response is way better. I don't think CBS's New Years broadcasts back in the 80's and early 90's really made much of a dent in the ratings, and I read somewhere that Disney produced them and when they pulled out after buying ABC, CBS discontinued the program altogether.
mardek1995 200 Posted January 1, 2016 Posted January 1, 2016 CBS did their NYE coverage on CBSN. Through WCBS?
