squiggy 10 Posted March 4, 2016 Posted March 4, 2016 NBC is not underperforming. It's usually #2 behind CBS. If you include Sunday Night Football, then yes. WRAL won't have that luxury until late Summer. http://deadline.com/2015/05/2014-15-full-tv-season-ratings-shows-rankings-1201431167/
TriangleTriadMediaNews 267 Posted March 4, 2016 Posted March 4, 2016 Per WNCN's Facebook, they had a huge technical hiccup last night when the last ten minutes of the CBS Evening News were cut off and Judge Judy started around 6:53. No response from station management.

tw-804 194 Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 Forgive me for digging up this thread after a week or so, but WNCN had a great first week as the Triangle's new CBS affiliate. WNCN's total household viewership on a total day basis was up 56 percent and WRAL as the new NBC station is down 27 percent for the same full week compared to viewership for the same week last year! http://www.ftvlive.com/todays-news/2016/3/10/first http://wncn.com/2016/03/08/cbs-north-carolina-viewership-up-56-over-same-week-ratings-last-tear/
channel2 1042 Posted March 15, 2016 Posted March 15, 2016 That doesn't paint the whole picture, just their side of it.
newsbot 271 Posted March 17, 2016 Posted March 17, 2016 That doesn't paint the whole picture, just their side of it. Exactly; note that they don't post actual ratings. It's like those on-air claims to be the "fastest-growing TV station;" all it means is that ratings are up but we're still in the basement.
NewsJersey1 2 Posted March 27, 2016 Posted March 27, 2016 I would agree. What is WRAL's side of the story?
