Georgie56 3307
Surprised nobody is talking about this. WarnerMedia is working to phase out the Turner name on its cable networks. https://variety.com/2019/tv/news/turner-brand-time-warner-tnt-tbs-trutv-1203160652/ And there’s some speculation that CNN may leave Atlanta behind: https://www.nbcnews.com/business/business-news/ted-turner-name-likely-stripped-new-warnermedia-company-after-85b-n982696 Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/15410-att-buying-time-warner/page/12/#findComment-223286 Share on other sites

Apparently Turner sold it to Comcast some time ago, and they gutted it after moving out. Weren't there rumors a while back that CNN might move out of CNN Center and back to the Techwood campus, too? I think that may have been scrapped when Time Warner sold off all their FCC licenses. Plus now they have a sister entity with DirecTV which could handle uplinking. CircleSeven 1955
Oh Boy. Plepler gone. Levy gone. And now Tsujihara is gone because of a sex scandal. Quote Earlier this month, WarnerMedia launched an investigation following a Hollywood Reporter story that detailed text messages between Tsujihara and British actress Charlotte Kirk going back to 2013. The messages suggest a quid pro quo sexual relationship between the aspiring actress and the studio head in which he made promises that he’d introduce her to influential executives and she’d be considered for roles in movies and television. Tsujihara, one of the last executives of the old Time Warner gaurd, was going to keep his post as CEO of Warner Bros, after parent WarnerMedia announced its restructing for the media conglomerate. The Frog 429
All of the Time Warner management is now history. Bewkes, Martin (Turner), Plepler (HBO) and now Tsujihara (Warner Bros.) The phone company's in charge now. Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/15410-att-buying-time-warner/page/12/#findComment-223397 Share on other sites
channel2 979
It's not like the corpse of Time Warner was the class of the media industry anyway. Link to comment https://localnewstalk.net/topic/15410-att-buying-time-warner/page/12/#findComment-223400 Share on other sites
