It helps that there is no direct overlap between CBS and Gray in terms of ownership, and that Gray is one of CBS's top ownership groups. I wonder - if a group WITH ownership overlap asked - and particularly if the overlap is quite broad and not in just one or two markets, would Gray say no (at least in the overlapping markets)?

 

They should look into allowing their stations to make localized versions as well with local clips.

I don't think it was Gray's intent to syndicate it to the masses. But they'd allowed CBS to carry the clip.

On the CBS clips, they've replace certain scenics from the original Gray clip and place local scenic/skyline clips.
