Rosenfield is a class act. An absolute gem to work with. If he does end up leaving, he'll be fine. He'll get hired immediately. But it just may not be in NYC. Possibly Boston or Philly.

Broadcasting and Cable says that Dahler will co-anchor along side Mary Calvi on the weekends.

So odds are pretty good that he will move into a weekday spot as speculated by Huff in the Daily News, most likely taking over for Jim, b/c Rosenfield comes in when feels like it these days. Was he on today at noon?

He won't be replacing anybody. He'll just be joining Mary on the weekend evening news.

According to the official WCBS press release:

 

"WCBS-TV has hired award-winning journalist Don Dahler as Weekend Anchor. It was announced today by Peter Dunn, President and General Manager, WCBS-TV. Effective September 8, Dahler will anchor CBS 2’s weekend evening newscasts."

 

It makes no mention of co-anchoring with Mary Calvi...whose choice of words are correct?
