Let's see how this fares. This means KNTV will now carry three NBC News NOW programs... NBC News Daily, Hallie Jackson NOW, and during overnights, Top Story.

I expect a lot of O&Os to air a second hour of NBC News Daily. Edited May 28 by Georgie56 1 1
tyrannical bastard 4676 Posted May 28 Posted May 28 Broadcast TV is in the early stages of replacing syndicated programming with simulcasted OTT material. It's clearly secondary to OTT and streaming as all of the content is starting to be prioritized there.
phillynewslover 166 Posted Saturday at 02:16 AM Posted Saturday at 02:16 AM (edited) On Monday, WCAU will be moving Kelly Clarkson back to the 2pm slot (where she originally was from 2019 to 2022) and adding a second hour of NBC News Daily at 3pm. According to the schedule, the 3pm airing will be a repeat of the 12pm airing. Access Daily (currently at 2pm) will move to 2:33am, while Dateline at 1pm remains untouched. Good news for Drew Barrymore, who will now have the only talk show in the 3pm hour (her show airs on KYW), unless you count Maury reruns on WPHL. Edited Saturday at 02:17 AM by phillynewslover 1 1

If so, the 3p hour they’ll be airing should be live instead of a repeat. Repeating a 3-hour-old newscast in the middle of the day seems a bit … risky, especially for an O&O in such a large market. 4

I thought that too, but the guide doesn't show it as a "New" episode. Which could be an error, but I don't know. Edited Monday at 05:29 PM by phillynewslover
HanSolo 467 Posted Monday at 06:05 PM Posted Monday at 06:05 PM I wouldn’t necessarily trust the guide metadata just yet and get too hung up on the new/repeat indicator. Maybe it’s correct, but in general I’ve seen enough inadvertent missed labels to take it as gospel truth. 1
phillynewslover 166 Posted Monday at 07:01 PM Posted Monday at 07:01 PM Kate Snow is anchoring, which makes me believe that this is the live 3pm hour. I wasn't watching at noon so I don't know if it's the same show, though.
MediaZone4K 2661 Posted Tuesday at 12:47 AM Posted Tuesday at 12:47 AM (edited) Not sure if this is posted already with some changes in Albany, NY. WTEN is launching 10 AM lifestyle show "Upstate Living", co-hosted by former WRGB anchor Ann McCloy. The show will replace the timeslot vacated by Sherri Shepherd. Ann is the second ex CBS 6 talent NEWS 10 ABC has poached next to meteorologist Alyssa Caroprese. WRGB got their lick back by hiring one of WTEN's reporters to be their weekend anchor. WNYT is also launching "Capital Region Lifestyle" at 11AM hosted by their morning news anchors. Down in Jacksonville...WJAX will now simulcast WFOX's 4:30 AM half hour of Action News Jax This Morning, pushing "CBS News Mornings" back to 4AM. Previously WFOX carried the entire morning show from 4:30 to 9 AM, with WJAX only simulcasting 5 to 7 AM before CBS Mornings. The only odd scheduling they have left is airing Action News Jax at 4 PM on Fox 30 only, but not on CBS 47. Uniquely WFOX and WJXT only air a half hour rather than full hour newscast at 4p.
