(Source: Ten News Perth Facebook) It looks like Australia will see Eyewitness News make a comeback to our screens. Ten Eyewitness News was last seen on the east coast in 1994 and lasted a little longer in Adelaide and Perth. It made way for the clean, sharp Ten News brand - with other networks following suit and throwing out their own long-winded news brands. Now, the term may seem a bit of a throwback and an anachronism - and few would have predicted its resurrection - but Eyewitness News may have found new meaning in today's social media driven news landscape. Ten is also reportedly making the move to allow smoother news branding across its multi-channels One, Ten and Eleven. Here's to an old friend!
