WFMY's version of the graphics is much nicer than the others.

But that theme makes me want to gouge out my ears. Even WDJT's theme is better than this piece of crap.

I guess all of the CBS Gannetts are covered. If you click on today's weather break on 13WMAZ video site, they have the blue graphics. All it's left are the 12 G's NBC affils and WJXX.

None of the NBC affiliates have made the switch yet? Interesting...

Maybe this means there's an NBC version of the music and gfx?

I mean, Pyburn and Rampage have done extensive work for NBC, so it's not out of the question at all I think..

Yeah, I was thinking that same way. If an NBC version is in the works (and it's just an if because we haven't seen it yet), I don't see the consolidated First Coast News would be using it because of the ABC counterpart (WJXX 25). They would have to use the Generic Version (I hope they pick the blue graphics). I'll be more happy when the drop that Eurostyle font for those lower thirds. The font for the FCN logo is alright.

Or better yet - keep the music they currently have (that's what I'm hoping for).

We can wish, we can hope and we can pray, but it seems inevitable at this point.

WKYC has new blue sidebars this morning with the text "High Definition." All of the other graphics and music haven't changed. This is a change from their gray "HD" sidebars. Could change come as soon as today? If so, probably at 6 PM. We shall see.

Added: There are some times where they're using their old sidebars, such as with video from the traffic helicopter and some of their older video.

I was able to capture a screen shot (using my camera) of the new sidebars. Sorry that it's at an angle.

The rest of their graphics were the same.

The sidebars are not animated.

UPDATE: WKYC's switch will be happening very soon. A recent post on the Director's Cut Blog can confirm this.

Feeling blue? We are too.
The new graphics, as predicted, will be blue. Either tonight at 11 or tomorrow is my official guess.

Add KPNX 12 to the blue list. It's on today's I-Cast on their vid page.

EDIT: On WKYC's Website, there appears to be pics from their midday newscast with the new blue graphics.

Yes, sorry, the change did occur at 12 noon today. I missed it, but I'll be watching at 6.

I must say that WKYC has done a, dare I say it, very good job switching to the new graphics.

It will take a while for it all to grow on me, though. But that was the same case with the amber rotators.

I must admit, it all seems to fit for WKYC...

What I'm worried about now is WXIA...

And KPNX and KSDK.
