Weeters 1969 Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Some of the MyFOX[market] sites are being replaced by a new FOX#Now.com site. KTVI's is already up.
TennTV1983 807 Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 It's a Local TV / Tribune thing. Just do [call letters].trb.com (Most will give you a 403 Forbidden message, but at least the addresses are valid). KDVR has the new Tribune interface as well. www.kdvr.com

He's right - KFOR (Local TV's NBC affil here in Okla City) has the same thing goin' on - http://kfor.trb.com At least that God-awful WorldNow interface will be gone soon enough - http://www.kfor.com (looks like shit on my widescreen monitor)
jero23 105 Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Well, WBRC has/had http://www.gowbrc.com reserved as their new web address, but since the station being exchanged for WRTV by Raycom then who knows what will happen with this transaction.
Mrtraveler01 738 Posted January 25, 2009 Posted January 25, 2009 Well, WBRC has/had http://www.gowbrc.com reserved as their new web address, but since the station being exchanged for WRTV by Raycom then who knows what will happen with this transaction. I think you mean in exchange for WTVR.
who?cares 255 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 I think you mean in exchange for WTVR. I was getting ready to say I didn't know WRTV was being bought!
TennTV1983 807 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 I was getting ready to say I didn't know WRTV was being bought! It'll probably be a cold day in Hell (and I'm not talking about Hell, MI) before McGraw-Hill decides to sell its stations.
A3N 1002 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 It'll probably be a cold day in Hell (and I'm not talking about Hell, MI) before McGraw-Hill decides to sell its stations. You never know. A few years ago, there was a rumor that McGraw-Hill was going to sell its tv stations to ABC. Of course it was just a rumor, but if the right offer comes along, I can't imagine M.H. passing up the opportunity.
Mrtraveler01 738 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 You never know. A few years ago' date=' there was a rumor that McGraw-Hill was going to sell its tv stations to ABC. I don't think that will be an issue anytime soon.
jero23 105 Posted January 26, 2009 Posted January 26, 2009 I think you mean in exchange for WTVR. Yeah, I meant WTVR. Although at one point WBRC and WRTV did have very similar logos when both were ABC affiliates.
Bsean 152 Posted January 27, 2009 Posted January 27, 2009 You never know. A few years ago' date=' there was a rumor that McGraw-Hill was going to sell its tv stations to ABC. And I just noticed that KGTV here in San Diego has started identifying itself as ABC 10 in non-news promos. Who knows.
milklikesubstance 11 Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 As of today, WITI's is now up and running. With a really $&%^!ed up logo
TennTV1983 807 Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 As of today, WITI's is now up and running. With a really $&%^!ed up logo Well that's WITI for ya'. Talk about tacky.
rhombics447 1 Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 WJW Cleveland (former O&O, now Local TV) went from MyFoxCleveland.com to Fox8.com this week.
Weeters 1969 Posted January 28, 2009 Author Posted January 28, 2009 As of today, WITI's is now up and running. With a really $&%^!ed up logo The old graphics package lives again!
Weeters 1969 Posted January 28, 2009 Author Posted January 28, 2009 Interesting, the contact page on FOX6Now says the website is called "FOX6News.com" (which also works).
Ntropolis 599 Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Looks like all the FOX O&Os-turned-Local TV stations' websites except for WBRC (presumably because it'll be sold soon), as well as WHO have picked up the new look.
newsie 11 Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 I'm assuming that this is only applying to the former O&O's. However, the original nine Local TV stations have a valid "call letters.trb.com" address.
PitCleTV 9 Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 WJW Cleveland (former O&O, now Local TV) went from MyFoxCleveland.com to Fox8.com this week. If you ask me, and nobody did, this is a real step down from the "myfox" website, especially when watching news video; it's grainy and you have to turn the speakers all the way up to actually hear the video.
Ntropolis 599 Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 I'm assuming that this is only applying to the former O&O's. No, WHO has it... http://www.whotv.com/

That must be the fault of the station's web team. WITI's looks great.
Mrtraveler01 738 Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 That must be the fault of the station's web team. WITI's looks great. WDAF switched from myfoxkc.com to fox4kc.com.
newsie 11 Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 So, all Local TV stations will be debuting this new look. WHO's is very recent, I was just on it Monday and it still had the craptastic WorldNow format. I'm kinda glad. WTKR's has become very, ver cluddered recently.
puck2008 0 Posted January 29, 2009 Posted January 29, 2009 Finally, KFOR's will look remotely decent...as of this moment, though...
RGSJenkins 435 Posted January 30, 2009 Posted January 30, 2009 Some of the FOX O&Os debuted a new cleaner look on their website. KSAZ, WFLD, WFXT, & WNYW debuted the look already. www.myfoxphoenix.com www.myfoxchicago.com www.myfoxboston.com www.myfoxny.com
