eyewitness_news 5 Posted January 15, 2016 Posted January 15, 2016 KSAZ Fox 10 News 6pm Open -- Jan. 1, 2016
toxictwister00 25 Posted January 26, 2016 Posted January 26, 2016 I don't know what it is about this one, but I love this FOX graphics/music package from WTTG.
TheRolyPoly 2592 Posted January 30, 2016 Posted January 30, 2016 The story in this video doesn't matter but the open does. I keep looking for this open because I like the music cut in this particular open and also because the NMSA doesn't have it yet. Behold... News 12 Long Island (which btw, you can watch for free now, along with the other News 12 channels): 4
NWA_TV_guy 157 Posted February 17, 2016 Posted February 17, 2016 I think of the video footage from Hurricane Andrew where Brian Norcross and the studio crew went in to the small space to the side of the main set where they broadcasted for many hours during the storm and how they KNEW what was going to happen. Let's face it -- Florida has its share of tropical systems. Mississippi, unfortunately, has had its share of tropical systems, but nothing like Hurricane Katrina (often compared against Hurricane Camille). WLOX-TV remained in their studio until it was almost too late. When the station's microwave/Doppler radar tower fell was the deciding factor to "get the Hell out of dodge" and into a small corner in another part of the building where they had two chairs, a camera and a computer.
NWA_TV_guy 157 Posted February 26, 2016 Posted February 26, 2016 WHLT's final days with an in-house news department before Media General tossed it out. WHLT started a news update segment at night several years later that lasted a few minutes. WJTV eventually starting simulcasting their 10:00 p.m. newscast on WHLT. After several more changes, WHLT now has a 10:00 p.m. newscast that is recorded by WJTV and aired with all local content. WHLT has reporters that contribute to the newscast.

I think its just weekday mornings (4:30-7:00am from WJTV 12) and Sundays-Fridays at 10:00pm for WHLT 22 (weeknights as local and Sundays from WJTV 12 + Sports Zone).

That's correct. Viewers do not like watching Jackson news and Javkson weather. I don't know why they're still simulcasting.
TheRolyPoly 2592 Posted March 5, 2016 Posted March 5, 2016 I've been dying to find more clips related to the WKYT News Theme, especially the open and closing themes. WKYT and WCTV/WSWG used it and I still consider it as one of my ultimate favorite news music packages. I'm so happy that NewsActive3 uploaded this and it comes from WCTV in 2007:
PanchamBro 19 Posted March 24, 2016 Posted March 24, 2016 Here are the open and talent to the original WVBT Fox 43 News at 7: They aren't in good quality, but at least I found them.

Is that Blaine Stewart? 1
WFTV Channel 9 80 Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Woah! Is that Blaine Stewart? Yes. That is Blane Stewart. I think he was at WHLT before going to WTKR. WTSP Life Around the Bay Open (2003) Most of WSFA News 12 10PM Newscast (6/16/07)
TheRolyPoly 2592 Posted March 25, 2016 Posted March 25, 2016 Blaine Stewart: WHLT, then WRBL before WTKR.
WFTV Channel 9 80 Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Here's a couple Telemundo news opens I uploaded to YouTube. From the March 28, 2016 newscasts. WRMD Tampa: WKAQ Puerto Rico (This airs after the local Tampa news):
Samantha 2902 Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Surprising that some of the ZGS stations haven't ditched Azurite yet.
bgiesing 46 Posted April 8, 2016 Posted April 8, 2016 So this just aired and it's one of the most awkward hour-to-hour transitions I have seen on KTVI. Normally, right after they say the next hour is starting, the opening plays instantly or they play 2 minutes of ads (from :57 to :59 usually). Here it goes to black for about 10-30 seconds, cuts to them not knowing the camera is on, back to black for another 10-30 seconds, then the intro happens, cut to black for a second, then they put the wrong camera in the shot.
promoguy98 254 Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 WSMV in Nashville used This is Home by Switchfoot in a previous campaign a year or so ago, but they've now added This is Home from Warner Chappell. It looks like they're officially going to go deeper into this image campaign, judging by what the producer posted in the description on his YouTube channel. He called this their "kickoff spot!" 1
PanchamBro 19 Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Not the best quality, but here's a clip of WAVY's storm coverage where Andy Fox...isn't quite ready when he gets a live toss from the studio Does someone have a higher quality video of the incident? 4
MikePulse 319 Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 ABC's 50th anniversary special from 2003. News segments are on 1:01:58 (Barbara Walters retrospective leading into a GMA retrospective with Diane Sawyer), 2:03:39 (bloopers with Charles Gibson) and 2:39:16 (Jennings and Koppel). Also at the tail end, WFTV open with Opsahl and Salt which is longer on my main channel ( - forgive the slight video slowdown at the beginning). 3
Breaking News 839 Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 WSB-TV; one of their best open in the late 2000s (circa 2007) (2009) WXIA/ 11Alive; a very stellar opening (2007) in the old building which was right behind WSB' studios. Horrible opening when Gannett (at the time) Now TEGNA mandate opening (2009)
Breaking News 839 Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Here some current WKYT/ CBS Lexington, KY videos
WFTV Channel 9 80 Posted May 29, 2016 Posted May 29, 2016 ZBM (CBS Bermuda) Welcome Home promo campaign from 2012. Interesting that ZBM was about 15 years late with using that slogan.
ToriElectra 292 Posted June 13, 2016 Posted June 13, 2016 OK- here's an interesting little documentary about WFTS from 2002- during the very brief 28 News era! (I had originally posted this by accident over in the Classic Video Thread.)
TexasTVNews 1378 Posted June 21, 2016 Posted June 21, 2016 It looks to me that KTBC is getting a new set.
