More WDSU, this time from 1994. When this newscast was recorded, they were in the early days of the "diamond 6" logo era. Graphics by jCBD, Palmer News Package as the theme, and a new set to boot:

WOKR, circa 2001:

That was from January of 2001, the waning days of Advantage, Balls & Walls, and the 1980's news set.

A tanker truck explosion and a plane crash and fire — they're not the same story, but they're in the same KWWL special report:

A KPTV short close from 2008. Can't find an open but NMSA has audio of it. The NMSA listed it as "KPTV 2006 News Theme", but the theme is actually a production music track called "Up Front Now" by Megatrax, part of the "Broadcast News" disc (MX160).

WBZ-TV Eyewitness Sports updates anchored by Bob Lobel (from the mid-80's)

They were relying heavily on computer graphics.

And on the shtick of one Bob Lobel

A KMGH newsbreak from 1989:

It's CFCF, but it's also Non-Stop's obscure as heck Nowhere Else image campaign:

I prefered the other production track from 2008-2010 called Loud and Pissed.

Right before WOKR got the Ackerley treatment in that company's dying months, but distinct given their being the largest market in the Ackerley CNYSG given Ackerley's inability to crack Buffalo and Albany.

Quite ironic that, with a mere change of station in Rochester and an opportune deal, that Nexstar accomplished Ackerley's goal.

Newsmat in all its glory - inspired by the clip above - KMGH 1986 6pm full broadcast

Complete with the 'CCO-style 'Hot tub' desks (in fact 'CCO was also using Newsmat when they had that particular set.)

It's weird that the "Nowhere Else" image campaign is obscure, when it was the basis for a First News package update.

Actually, wasn't there a copyright and/or performing-rights registration for "Nowhere Else News"? Was it ever actually syndicated as such before being rolled into First News? Any industry old-timers like promoguy98 possibly recall?

Wow, yeah that image campaign song is about as obscure as obscure gets. I don't recall it being on any of the Non-stop vocal campaign demos back in the day of days, but it's clear that it was the basis for the First News package update as you said. They must not have had much faith in that one selling well enough to put much effort into making sure it was in the demo material.

It was a 4pm newscast. Back then, KMGH aired local news at 4pm, CBS News at 5pm and syndicated programming between 5:30 and 7pm.

I believe this may have been the national CTV campaign, it was also used on MCTV & CKY:

Apparently its use at MCTV (at least for its CBC stations) lasted through 1991...

A KTTV tease from 1993:
