North of the border, but with Pride Inside:

A CHCH news update from 1989. The package cut is strange. So is the TV border (in more ways than one):

Also from CHCH, a 1992 newscast, though stripped of its commercials and anything they didn't have the rights to:

You impress me by showing some piece of Phoenix TV history I've never seen. This Pets on Parade clip from the mid-1980s does that in two ways. The real interesting part, though, is at 5:13. Let's just say I may take back every word I've said about repetitive Turn To campaign songs.

In 1977, a group of French Communist aerospace unionists (protesting New York's ban on Concorde flights) occupied the studios of television network TF1 in Paris just as the headline sequence of the 8PM national news was getting underway.

This report about the studio invasion aired the following day -- it shows how the protesters startled the anchor, how the director then cut to a slide, and how the negotiations continued behind the scenes:

A minute of C-SPAN2 continuity precedes this "TV Inform" Soviet evening newscast from 1991:

Compare that with a 1995 Russian evening newscast, with some later C-SPAN continuity:

C-SPAN has a lot of debates, as you might expect. Though you may have seen this one before (Jim Heath had it), it doesn't hurt to repeat it:

But even I haven't seen THIS one:

A week after that one, it was time for a gubernatorial debate. Held in Tucson, the open has the same graphics (which I would bet KSAZ furnished) but different music and VO:

A new part of the NewsActive3 collection has shown up, and rather stunningly it has some brand new stuff from Alaska to Florida. New material from WTVY, KTUU, WCJB, WBBH, WESH, and more! The WCJB open at 10:37 is a particular must-see.
