Anaheim Ducks reportedly intend to leave Victory+ streaming platform Victory+ has fallen behind on rights payments owed to multiple partners in recent months, according to Sports Business Journal.

That box doesn't exist for the purpose of endless scrolling. Going to the main video feed allows you to go back a lot further, even if it's more of a pain in the butt. https://abc7ny.com/watch/live/

I can hear it just fine.

Is there supposed to be any sound?

Man, I’m going to miss Lauren. She was always such a pleasure to watch. She is Eyewitness News! They seem to hint towards the end that she’ll no longer have to cover snow storms. Florida seems like a good bet. Nina Pineda confirmed that Lauren is leaving tv news entirely.

https://abc7ny.com/videoClip/19515826/ Starts at 36:45 Whoops, I didn't see abc7 Man had posted the recording. Also I am once again begging anyone here who works at ABC7NY to please have the newscasts page changed so it's possible to view multiple days worth of videos instead of the extremely limited amount the redesign has allowed. Secondary note for any staff: the url on Here are ways you can watch Channel 7 Eyewitness News, ABC that says links to abc7.com/live despite what the text says.

My wife read on one of the WABC folks FB page that she's moving to Florida. We'll see if it's accurate. Seems odd since she's lived in and reported on NY for so long.
-
One interesting bit of trivia: She's an alum of American Idol, having competed on that show twice about 15 years ago.

Meteorologist Chelsea Chandler has left WHBQ FOX 13 Memphis, though she plans to remain in the area. No word if that'll mean she will join either WREG or WMC-TV or do something else in her future. https://www.commercialappeal.com/story/news/local/2026/07/09/chelsea-chandler-leaving-fox-13-memphis/90861158007/

Nina Pineda posted on her Facebook that there would be a story about Lauren at 5pm. Anyone catch it?

Paperwork for the Gray/American Spirit transaction is up. Nothing super exciting on a skim for 5 of the 6 stations currently operated by Gray. The comprehensive exhibit says Gray intends to operate WTVG and WUPW in Toledo, so that implies at some point after closing, the WTOL/Tegna SSA for news and other operational support for WUPW will be terminated.

Reading Sager's FB post (or between the lines), it sounds like she has something lined up. Time will tell. For at least WABC and WNBC, many reporters have been around for many years so when they leave it is like a shock to the system. It seems the other stations in town have much more turnover.

Whoah! WABC news anchor John Johnson promoting a charity boxing match (1983). Surprised the station let him be shirtless on cam. https://youtu.be/SR1qhsY5Kx4?is=FMhXPbyHQfGFzdZu

She stayed local through and through in Tallahassee. Graduated from Florida A&M Univ. (HBCU) in 2000, started at WCTV in 2001, and worked her way through in her 25 year career, topping out as full-time anchor of The Good Morning Show starting in 2020. Next month, Lanetra Bennett will celebrate 25 years at WCTV. However, soon after that, she will leave the station to spend more time with her family. https://www.wctv.tv/2026/07/15/wctvs-lanetra-bennett-sign-off-august-after-25-years-serving-viewers/?fbclid=IwY2xjawTEPvJleHRuA2FlbQIxMQBzcnRjBmFwcF9pZA80MDk5NjI2MjMwODU2MDkAAR7UBfUW8ANI-E_aigFPeJbJtAU8V4UVhuyvzkZaG0jVQSXhUl80BMK4YsKt4w_aem_GzMExzFFEsVRsUd9BdKsmA

I'll be sad when Dani leaves the weekend mornings. She's such a fun person and has more freedom to be silly on those broadcasts IMHO. Jeff always did strike me as a reserved quite person. I think the only time I've seen him slightly break that was when they had some tech issues and he appeared taller on the weather screen and then vanished before resetting whatever had broken. Whoa, that came out of nowhere?! Cannot begin to imagine why she'd leave. I saw Mike' Marza's Instagram story celebrating her, but hadn't a clue what that was about.
