Anyone know where in 30 Rock this is? It has a lot of the exposed building supports and reminds me of the MSNBC 4th floor space (which they will be vacating at some point). It was hard to tell from their balcony area. The 3rd floor is full of studios (MSNBC, WNBC, WNJU, NBC News Now).... I would assume the floorspace at the Fletcher Ave. studios in Fort Lee will be reduced for the bureau (WNBC's NJ bureau has been there for years). The building included the original CNBC studios, America's Talking which became MSNBC prior to their moves to Secaucus (MSNBC) and Englewood Cliffs (CNBC). The Secaucus studio is now MLB Network but they will be moving in a few years as well, to Elmwood Park NJ. I'm assuming MSNBC ruled out the former Fort Lee T47 space, even temporarily after the spin off.

Lester Holt stepping down from NBC Nightly News

The full video of final day of Lester Holt anchoring NBC Nightly News: For specific segment: -
I wish WTHR was still of this format 30 years later, instead of becoming just 13 News (unfortunately, profit is king apparently, so Eyewitness went out the window in 2022).

Lester Holt stepping down from NBC Nightly News
Yayan4155 replied to JosiahCubed's topic in Network News
The official teaser image of NBC Nightly News with Tom Llamas is here. When Llamas takes over Lester's role on June 2, it will be the first time a presenter came from a college graduate (specifically Loyola University) since Brokaw, because two predecessors (Brian Williams and Lester Holt) are college dropouts and did not receive a degree, not even Brokaw's predecessor (John Chancellor). -
I agree. The shared WNBC/WNJU newsroom is nice. Curious to see if WMAQ/WSNS can top it when they move to their new space later this year.

WBNS would get their set developed by Devlin Design Group 90s set a year prior in 1994. The Wolfe's had the money to spend for both stations.

TEGNA Broadcasting and Digital General Discussion
TheRolyPoly replied to ABC 7 Denver's topic in Corporate Chat
For TEGNA's CBS affiliates that want to do more news at noon but can't because of CBS programming... Put it on streaming! That's what WTSP has recently started to do with a live half-hour newscast at 12:30pm on 10 Tampa Bay+.- 3697 replies

Ahh gotcha it funny because when that 2019 blackout happened, WNBC used then WNJUs building to do the 11pm show that night. If there a blackout next time both stations in the word of Gen Z would be cooked. I’m sure in that NJ bureau the studio is gonna be taken out so no broadcast capabilities I hope they planned this well for screwed up scenarios. I have more scenarios in the tube but I digress.

The old location will be converted to duo New Jersey bureau

Lester Holt stepping down from NBC Nightly News
GraphicsMan replied to JosiahCubed's topic in Network News
I remembered when he did the show from Durham NC my mom was there a took a picture of him. They did the show by the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. He also did a broadcast from Fayetteville he even anchored a special report from there. Tom Llamas cannot compare to Holt although great, he will have to craft his own style and battle David Muir in the ratings. Lester was able to be strong second to ABC can Llamas stay the way in being a strong second or be a distant second, ofc they’ll never be in third place. But they sure could be a distant second. -
Much better than the horseshit of the last package.

Definitely gives an NBC News newsroom feel, and this totally tops KNBC and KVEA in Los Angeles newsroom. With this move WNJU and WNBC will be the final NBC Universal duopoly to share the same building. Now there still licensed in New Jersey so I’m sure due to FCC law they still have to maintain some physical presence.

This morning, the Fart Tank came back. If you haven't seen the original, it's still (IMO) the best Morning News bit they've ever done. https://youtu.be/NAesSGtlCqY?si=FnmKO77veXO3QUKv

EDIT: Also adding Jean Jadhon's final newscast at WDBJ 7 after 33 years. Its "retirement" season, y'all.

The gold one was one of the worst things ever devised by mortal man. Those colors belong in a 1970’s car dealership. The other one was good except for the silly flying box on the left. That got old after a while.

Scott Padgett also had his final day today at KTVT/KTXA after nearly a dozen years there before he makes his way to WCBS/WLNY.

Day 1 of the then-new WTHR Channel 13 Eyewitness News. New set (developed by Devlin Design Group), new music, new graphics, new name (the second stint), new logo, new everything. The first 90 minutes of WTHR's then-new era are here from Monday, May 8th, 1995:

My thoughts exactly. Who is the consulting firm that advised Scripps to strips their newscasts of any zest and turn them into generic waiting room/airport kiosk feed newscasts. Old Scripps packages had a lot more color and life.

Lonnie's absence from the CBS 2 11:00 PM newscast, as well as the national news is starting to feel a tiny bit suspicious. He came back like two weeks ago, then came back again this week. It will also be interesting to see Craig Allen on the CBS national news this weekend.

Despite Turner calling some early round games from the studio, I'll take them over ESPN, although i'll give ESPN points for being in Canadian cites during the 1st round. Turner's commentary (when they are at the rink) is great, Liam is a great studio host, and Kenny Albert/Edzo/Bouch is the best in the business, i feel like i'm watching NBC from their last season (Burke/Pang isn't a bad booth either). One way they could solve the early round issue is simulcasting HNIC in the first round

It’s probably to counter the stupid, over the top, full of yourself presentation of WDIV. And besides. It’s the best thing they’ve put out product wise since all the old folks retired. That and they can put out a cleaner product than WDIV, which it is, and try to capitalize on that sinking ship over there. Do I wish they had some of the old O&O style energy? Sure. It’s it the most mistake free in the market? Probably. This new music package with the goofy string sound just sort of repeats variations of that and it sounds kinda weird after a while. WFTS played about two minutes if it today and it really never even gets off the ground. It might make a great BREAKING NEWS bed but it’s kinda lousy theme music.

Didn't they do this already?
