What is the issue? So no one can comment on a thread that hasn't been active in a while? And I think my comment fits because many people in this thread have discussed the hesitancy to break up the Dick Wolf blocks. I'm just mentioning that they have. So I see no issue with what I've commented.

Please don't bump a thread that hasn't been touched in 14 months, unless, in the case of this thread, primetime on NBC was actually being cut down. A one-off schedule change, even if previously mentioned, doesn't warrant the bump.

Well one of the solid Dick Wolf blocks has been broken up. Law & Order Organized Crime is moving to Peacock. I'm surprised by this because the strength of this block came from having Stabler and Benson on back to back shows. Admittedly I find myself having to rewatch during streaming because if you miss details during an episode you might end up lost. To your point yes, it would probably work work better as 10-episode show focused on one crime ring for the entire season rather than moving on to a new crime ring after 2 to 3 episodes. Interesting thought on sports.

Hopefully the don't move Chicago PD. The Chicago and Law & Order blocks are one of the few reasons left to watch live prime time drama.

It's not too surprising L&O: OC moved to Peacock. Ratings-wise, it is the weakest of the L&O block and it just doesn't work well as a 22-episode show. I wouldn't be surprised if they move Chicago PD (Season 13) to Peacock as well. As far as slashing the 3rd hr. of primetime, that likely isn't necessary if they get the NBA. Their scripted slate would be greatly reduced and result in cost-savings long term (which is part of the reason why they wanted to cut the hour in the first place).

Don't know where else to put this but surprisingly NBC is breaking up the 3-hour Law and Order Thursday block to put Organized Crime on soely Peacock. Since Olivia Garvey join the station, will they create a new sports show with Mario & Olivia following NFL & their college football coverage. They're also probably going to get rights to the NBA soon as well. It would make sense that they would create a new local sports program. I don't like program the challenge.

yeah, pretty disingenuous to say they are using green screen today, but act like they don't normally do so. Usually for By Design shows, they are on location somewhere.

I thought Sunday Morning was going to address why they've been on green screen long term. Jane just said they're on green screen for today's "By Design" episode so they can change between backgrounds done by a featured design firm. SB: Sunday Morning uploads stories to their YouTube 5 to 10 minutes after they've aired. This really gives people no incentive to watch the show live on TV. SNL is the same way.

Probably not shutting down - they've been adding new shows to the cable feed - but rather leaving OTA for cable (and streaming?) only. This TV, on the other hand, is likely doomed. They've been losing even more affiliates since the (then-)Tribune stations dropped it for Court TV, and the loss of carriage on ABC's O&Os to Charge may be the final straw.

Apparently, TheGrio's affiliate base has been dropping like flies, and according to someone over on RadioDiscussions, it might be shutting down altogether (is there any official confirmation of this?).

Since Comcast is a cable company, why wouldn't they want to put some NBA games on USA network along with the show Inside the NBA, if they do get part of the deal?

Yeah true, we was doing the same at WNBC part-timing with the network also, I recognize there very few slot to gt into network. Getting to network news today is like getting into an Ivy League college. But I hear he makes a lot of money in his current role.
