  1. Looks like we have new protocol for days when Skilling is absent... McGill handled Midday and (I think) 4-6am. Now, Demetrius is in for Evening, and presumably the nine and ten. I wonder if Jim is finally done with being Tom's #2.

  2. Demarco Morgan leaving WXIA for CBS News. Is it even official that Stephany going over to FOX 5 or speculation? Stephany team up with Cynne at 5 and do 11pm Edge News if she does go over to WAGA, but her Brenda teaming up on WXIA would be good move for them, but not probably going to happen. WXIA losing too many people.

  3. I think there's an EXTREME likelihood that somebody would mention if it ended. Also, while asking questions is one thing, repeatedly posing the same question(s) to the same individual(s) every few hours is where some might begin to be annoyed.

  4. Me personally I feel they could do a anchor shuffle over at WAGA. Isn't FOX Sports South at WAGA? Send Ron Gant over there. I know he a popular former Braves player. Send him over to FOX Sports South, and move Tom Haynes the Good Day and have Stephany/Cynne at 5pm, Lisa/Russ at 6, Cynne/ Russ at 10, Stephany solo at 11pm.

  5. More sad news, this time from Albany. The Times-Union there reports that longtime WRGB anchor Ed O'Brien has died of cancer. He was 59. On behalf of all of us here at TVNT, my sincere condolences and prayers to Mr. O'Brien's family and colleagues.

  6. My guess is WJCL 22 News, but that is just a guess. As for when they get the Hearst graphics and web layout..... I have no idea. For some reason they are taking their time with WJCL. Which is odd to me because they were able to get WVTM Hearst-ified very quickly.

  7. Darla Miles was on air this morning.

  8. I'm noticing the video on FOX5 News since formatting for 16:9 has a beveled edge effect around it.

  9. Said it from the beginning as did so many others. This was bound to backfire on the two of them only, not ABC or NBC. They both have the same agent who made outrageous demands that ABC was not okay with and ABC took a bet by letting them walk. It's turned out well for the network and now these two are left blowing in the wind. It's funny because it was hard to imagine GMA being the same without their presence but the show has faired well and added great personalities to fill the void. I could see Josh returning to the network in some form and then maybe as a replacement to George.

  10. Neither of them should have left but both left for greed thinking that they would be happy in greener pastures, but things didn't pan out for them. There's really no place for Sam at ABC, Ginger and Rob have been holding down the fort in the weather department. Sam could try on knocking on the doors at CBS perhaps or perhaps chill with his other morning buddy Chris Cuomo at CNN. As for Josh, it seems like he was betting that he would be Matt's successor or at least have more presence on the NBC morning program, but obviously Today is still Matt's turf and domain and the cast has decided to support each other in solidarity after that much talked about failed reboot last year; things seemed to have gone sour with Josh ever since that incident. In the NBC Sports side, Bob Costas is still going strong and I don't think he'll be retiring anytime soon; I'm a little confused as to why Josh didn't score his own program on NBCSN. I would say that Josh has more of a chance going back to the Alphabet network, but not that much since ABC is already well equipped with talent; if The View sinks even further this season, then perhaps the network could potentially consider him as some sort of talent for that alternative panel show that they are developing as a replacement for the show.

  11. First off, I don't see how pretending like you work for WCAU is funny or a joke. To me, that's just immature and it wasn't a joke, it was you caught up in a lie. Second, you admitted that after you got bombarded by people who already knew you were lying. If you lied about that, I would not put it against you to be lying about your age. That said, I don't care whether you are a kid or an adult what bothers me is your constant nagging. Please tone it down.

  12. You know what's crazier, someone making up where they work. Why would someone make that up? It's crazy to say Tracy and Vai are disgruntled employees. It's crazy to say that Rosemary is more liked than Denise. You stated these things implying they were factual. Making stuff up about people is CRAZY. So don't act all surprised that I don't believe you're 55.

  13. I love kids as well. I never said anything about hating them. I'm not sure how you know Newshound is an adult from looking at his profile, other than the fact it says he's 55 (which could be made up!!!). His track record on telling the truth (he supposedly worked at NBC10) isn't exactly stellar. And asking the same questions over and over IS ANNOYING. Don't even get me started on your posts.

  14. KFMB was late in the chopper game. Sky 10 debuted in 1976 or so and KCST launched in 1979 . There used to be a 100 foot tall water tower where the 52 and 163 now meet. On top of that tower someone spray painted "news 8 sucks 9-1-79", so only the choppers and aircraft from Miramar could see. KFMB wanted so bad to be in the airborn news game that they made a promo campaign for both TV and newspaper ads that included this shot. Who's helo is this???? It's a Bell 47 from "Joes Whirlybird Rentals" They never mention it in the promo....it's just there like a big pink kitty. I actually think they stole it from in front of the supermarket after kicking a few kiddies off the ride.

  15. Had a feeling this would happen. After being denied the top job, AGAIN, she knew she didn't like what management did there and just couldn't take it anymore. The result... resignation. If you ask me, if WFOR 4 really did the right thing, then they would've had Cynthia and Rick at 5 and 11pm. Cynthia was there since 2007, longer than both Lauren Pastrana (2012) and Rudabeh Shahbazi (August 2015) and even Rick Folbaum (2014). But I now I know why they have such exodus at the station, when it comes to talent. CBS 4 News... Where The News is Rated Last.

  16. Seems to me like they're both leaving for the same reason. They both have been troopers and played along, but both were passed over (in Cynthia's case twice) for the top job. They could have easily given Cynthia noon and 6pm with Elliot (he's a bore to watch). Good luck to both of them!
