  1. That's where a partial ownership stake in Scripps (no more than 20% just to be safe) comes in.

  5. Jay Levine's hanging it up after 25 years at CBS 2 (plus 16 years at ABC 7). He'll remain with the station in a special contributor role. Frankly, I think this is his choice, because if the station wanted him out, he'd be gone entirely, not just semi/mostly retired. However, the terms of his new role are still being worked out. http://chicagoradioandmedia.com/news/7880-cbs-2-chief-correspondent-jay-levine-stepping-down

  6. If ABC was even interested in acquiring stations, I could only see them being interested in about 5 of the Scripps stations at most. But i'll leave that for the speculation thread.

  7. If Liz did leave (would be a sad day for WABC), I could see Lori picking up the 4&6 and either Shirleen or Michele get the morning shift. If WABC were to go with a more extreme change, the best pairing I think would be: Mornings: Michele & Ken Noon & 4: Shirleen & David 5: Diana & Sade 6&11: Bill & Lori I think of the 4 options you put out, this would be the best. The only problem is a lot of people like Diana and Sade as a team.

  8. If she does, I imagine WABC will fill the anchor holes with either Diana, Shirleen, or Lori.

  9. Josh Elliot is leaving NBC. Rumor has it he might be joining Fox Sports 1 which is out in LA, where he's from. If he does, would his wife (Liz Cho) relocate out there too? Something to ponder

  10. Yeah, and maybe Sal can come back to doing Sports, John back to mornings with Lynne White, along with Tiffany McElroy and Craig on the early morning shift. I wonder if Mary Murphy or Jackie Hyland can anchor with Peter Thorne on the weekends too!!! Seriously guys, give it up. It doesn't look like Jim's coming back, or that Kaity is getting the 10pm back.

  11. I agree, they are a great team together, and I wish she would fill in it 5 pm! But Sarah is an excellent reporter, too, so maybe they'd rather have her put to use there.
