  1. Jummy was more of a "Breaking News/Live Desk" anchor instead of sitting at the desk with main anchors Lenny & Autria taking turns reading headlines in a "three-anchor format". However yes Eat, Jummy would fill-in anchor when one of the main anchors is away. Speaking of two meteorologists, WJLA uses two for GMW. It isn't like they use two simultaneously like some stations have (like WKBW & at one point WEWS). Eileen Whelan anchors the 4:30-7am show on 7, while Veronica Johnson does the 7-10am portion on NewsChannel 8. Johnson also weather anchors a separate 6-7am show on NC8 entitled "GMW Express". I don't think you need to have two weather anchors on the same show at the same time (especially if both are in the studio, and there's no severe weather event). That bothered me when I saw two weather anchors on WEWS's morning show, and I was like why? Just a waste.

  2. Checked out a little bit of the WLOS-TV Blizzard video and was glad to see Brenda Burch (former WTVK news anchor/reporter) in the video. She anchored coverage of the big Blizzard of '93 for WLOS. I am back with some rare goodies. We take you back to the early 1980s and Tuscaloosa, Alabama where we feature an intro for WCFT's "Eyewitness News" from this period. They used "Electro Phantasma" by Dave Grusin off the soundtrack to "The Electric Horseman". From 1987, here is an MPBN broadcast of the Mount View/Rockland game with a WABI news clip at the beginning. At :04 into the video is a WABI newscast open used in 1987 featuring an unknown news theme. From March 1989, here is a partial WHBF-TV newscast. WHBF-TV was one of the non-ABC stations to use Gari's News Series 2000 as its theme as they were CBS. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xtKRHTqdQGc

  4. Wow, the owners of WCFT sure liked that set, because they gave an identical one (with logo changes and the weather center on the opposite side) to their Yuma sister station (WCFT and KYEL were sisters between 1978 and 1990): That WCFT Alumni group where that came from has some good stuff, mostly images but a few videos, including this one:

  6. What ad was that? Only ad I see was that she's returning to work nothing about full time 7a-9a and 10am

  7. Tanja, Terrell, and Hosea (before he got sick) have made several appearances, as well. Liz Nagy seems to only show if they want a co-anchor AND Stacey is off. I actually like the rotating chair (though they really could use another regular anchor in the fold right now) alongside Stacey for now. It's fun to see some of the reporters get some desk time. Someone on Twitter said that Stacey is like Kelly Ripa right now. If they did, by some chance to go internal for the official replacement, I'm cool with Eric. He was pretty good for having never anchored on 7, and that's promising for a first time. On the other hand, Goudie was hilariously awkward when doing a cooking segment and then grilling a circus performer about animal abuse in a light feature.
