...and Dick Johnson finally took a day off. Allison is filling in, alongside Marion Brooks. Marion also worked the 11am show today, which usually means that she's not working the later evening shows, but we'll see. EDIT: Marion continues at 5pm. I'm thinking she'll also do the 6pm, and Allison will probably do the 10pm solo.2 points

A total rip-off of the old Journal graphics, plus the 9-pack behind the anchor desk composed of thick-bezeled NEC Monitors is long in the tooth.1 point

That is exactly where she's heading. She'll be anchoring the afternoon/evening broadcast. They didn't state the specific times she'll be anchoring. And no telling whom she'll eventually replace. Joy, Audrey or Shannon (who's currently on maternity).1 point

We finally get to see News Edge on WAAY, with an open from 2000... ...and one from 2001, with a heavy dose of technical difficulties on top. Plus a very odd little open from WAFF in 1989. I suspect this may be related to KTRE 1993 - they were definitely .1 point

I loved this last set. It's circular design and usable features worked so much to its advantage, and made it one of the best in my book. Even in a market where all of them were fantastic. ... (well, except WNYW, of course.) I know this new one'll look a bit like KCBS or WBZ, but that makes me even more excited.1 point

It dawned on me. The very first version (my fave) of 'Come Home To NBC' back when they just introduce the current peacock in 1986. The theme alone should've lasted a full season IMO before they switched to gospel choir version. Campaign would've lasted five (instead of four) years. The instrumental version kicks ass as well. Someone stitch up + send it to NMSA.1 point
