  1. Those graphics were only for the nightclub shooting. KARK is back to Look G again.

  2. Cool. How many sets have other stations been through while WNYW is still on the same one?

  3. ...and Dick Johnson finally took a day off. Allison is filling in, alongside Marion Brooks. Marion also worked the 11am show today, which usually means that she's not working the later evening shows, but we'll see. EDIT: Marion continues at 5pm. I'm thinking she'll also do the 6pm, and Allison will probably do the 10pm solo.

  4. From Feder. WFLD morning anchor Corey McPherrin is recovering from open heart surgery. He'll be out for at least six weeks.

  5. I've always been curious how they're able to access news segments from seemingly every TV station in the country. Here is the whole segment which was the main segment of the night and is 19 minutes long.

  6. KDVR promo song from 1987. Also cool to see what logo they had back then, as well as the brand — "TV 31." And a full 9pm newscast from May 2003:

  7. I was saying last month when I was in NY, that the set could used a refresh. I am kinda excited to what it would look like but I feel like it's going to be another KCBS/KOVR clone.

  8. This ratings dumpster fire is still a CBS station in a top ten market. That still makes it very valuable and profitable.

  9. Aww. I really liked that set. I thought it was one of the best in the group. I'm surprised they're getting rid of it already. Well, it has been 6 years since it debuted!

  10. Wow the 9-pack behind them is absolutely REVOLTING and just plain STUPID -- This is something from early to mid 2000s... For God's sake get rid of them

  11. A total rip-off of the old Journal graphics, plus the 9-pack behind the anchor desk composed of thick-bezeled NEC Monitors is long in the tooth.

  12. Also TVEyes. I think Volicon is more local recording. Where TVEyes actually records stations from all markets plus international channels,

  14. My guess is 4 & 7 pm. Replacing Shannon at 4 and Joy at 7.

  15. That is exactly where she's heading. She'll be anchoring the afternoon/evening broadcast. They didn't state the specific times she'll be anchoring. And no telling whom she'll eventually replace. Joy, Audrey or Shannon (who's currently on maternity).

  16. We finally get to see News Edge on WAAY, with an open from 2000... ...and one from 2001, with a heavy dose of technical difficulties on top. Plus a very odd little open from WAFF in 1989. I suspect this may be related to KTRE 1993 - they were definitely .

  17. I loved this last set. It's circular design and usable features worked so much to its advantage, and made it one of the best in my book. Even in a market where all of them were fantastic. ... (well, except WNYW, of course.) I know this new one'll look a bit like KCBS or WBZ, but that makes me even more excited.

  18. It dawned on me. The very first version (my fave) of 'Come Home To NBC' back when they just introduce the current peacock in 1986. The theme alone should've lasted a full season IMO before they switched to gospel choir version. Campaign would've lasted five (instead of four) years. The instrumental version kicks ass as well. Someone stitch up + send it to NMSA.

  20. I think Fox TV Stations is being lazy.

  21. I hope the new set uses the correct logo in all places! I'm surprised it's going to take so long.
