Maybe KUSA, KVUE, and/or WCNC? I hate to say bad things about Gannettegna, but a once-great company is now a shadow of what it used to be, like Sears and Kmart. The Deathstar can cause death to ratings (pun intended).

Wow, it's like Christmas dinner tucking into all of this. KSEE's all over the place. I got a 6pm open for KNSD for...something. Also, wow, the KFTV and KERO opens are definitely new!

Most your morning crews show up in the 3:30-4am range for live hits beginning at 5am. 99.9% of the stations in the US do not staff camera/reporters after midnight till 3:30a. There are a few exceptions such as KGTV and KFMB in San Diego which staff cameras overnight. Otherwise it's the stringers...which can be a major pain in the ass for morning show producers with constant annoying calls about selling dumpster fires and senseless drunk driving crashes....all while copping major attitude if you "pass" on the crappy shaky video. Here's to the morning show producers who have the most thankless job in the world. God bless you guys and Merry Christmas...if that's how you roll.

WRC’s morning newscast is coming from the newsroom. Is it normal for the 4AM half hour to come from there or are they likely getting the LED video walls?

KDRV ripping off WCVB

"A personnel matter...not related to layoffs made last week by station owner Raycom Media. It also was not a retirement." You can probably read between the lines there.

That music on the 6PM KNSD close... there's an amazing version that they would use on the 11pm close.. now if theres a long version of it..

KXTV is a legacy Gannettegna station. Gannettegna owned them since 1999. KVUE was owned by Gannettegna from 1986-1999 and again since 2013 (due to Gannett's purchase of Belo). I hate to say bad things about TEGNA, but look at all the stations TEGNAitis has struck. Gannett gave WXIA, KPNX, WTSP, KXTV, and KSDK life. Then they became TEGNA, who basically took it away. TEGNAitis also struck ex-Belo stations such as WFAA and WWL. On the bright side, ex-Belo stations WFAA and KVUE made ratings gains for last month's sweeps. KXTV was owned by Belo until 1999. In 1999, Belo traded KXTV to Gannett and got KVUE in return.
