  1. A little good natured ribbing... practically everybody here is full of useless information... nobody can cure cancer with it but it’s good enough for a hobby.

  2. Never going to understand all the Megyn Kelly hate for no damn reason yet the defending of people like Matt Lauer. Some of you are really something.

  3. One of the biggest problems Megyn Kelly faces is that we really don’t know who ‘the real’ Megyn Kelly is. She was a different person when she was on FNC and said/did a lot of stupid things imo (‘Santa can only be White’, etc..). Now she is on NBC, she has attempted to clean up her image, but that’s tough to do when, for example, you’re an advocate for Women one day and attack an 80 yr. old Woman the next for no reason. This is only one incident/misstep she has made since arriving at NBC. I think she has never fully taken the time for some self-reflection in order to better herself. Granted that may sound like nonsense, but she would have been better off not taking the job at NBC and spending some time with her family out of the spotlight.

  4. We got tired of you guys complaining about not being able to see shit, so decided to make it as contrasting as possible, in hopes you'll either complain less or we either blind you and you can't see. Either way, we expect the complaints. -Chief Millennial

  6. The olympic version of the station's news logo was seen according to the video on Brant Miller's FB page, but the Olympic version of the NBC5 Chicago logo was seen at the end of the promo.

  7. It's too bad the few clips that are around are the TVArk ones and a few with the camera pointed at a TV. It does sound like a really nice package. These are some examples from a YouTube page with the aformentioned camera pointed at a TV. The user's titles hint at 1989-90 even though they are from the same feature. 8. True. But who would turn down the chance to host the such a historical show with a much larger audience? Right now she’s essentially a network syndicated show competing against Live in a good portion of the country. Also her reasoning (that seemed to be repeated frequently) was for better hours and being home for her kids when they come home from school and have dinner like a family. Right now I imagine she leaves pretty early and I doubt she isn’t out the door by 6:00 AM to get there atleast two hours before the show starts and does her duties plugging it in the 8:00AM hour. Chances are her kids arent up by then. (I’m assuming the time she gets up and leaves as the regular Today hosts say their clocks are set around 3:30 and 4:00AM and in around 5AM).

  10. You obviously didn’t try hard enough. Google her name and WBBM and it’s first thing that comes up: http://www.adweek.com/tvspy/on-the-move-41/199457 ns4801, he doesn’t believe you, otherwise he wouldn’t be asking for your source.

  12. The new Tegna websites are boring. It's void of any colour, the hamburger menu is garbage, and the typography is a mess. This template make that shady news site you found on Facebook site look legitimate. Also, it appears the white knob in KUSA's video player got Tegna'ed. One of these days you just gotta ask: why?

  13. Anyone ever figure out the story / origin of the WMAQ early 80s theme that sounds like a cousin to the WNBC theme?

  15. They (those people) were directly quoting the President. Nobody will be fined. Unless... The whole thing was just a lie and it's proven he never said shithole... Then would NBC be on the hook for the profanity??? No. Nobody will be cited, no NAL's...no fines....no s**t.

  16. Charlie Van Dyke was phased out in mid-2007. The exact date for this would be September 6, 2006 judging by the top story being the "first day of school" (two days after Labor Day in New York). This would be the day after they expanded the 6:00 back to an hour in fact. Image wise, the rough period of 1998-2008 were a great time for WRGB with four good theme/graphic combos going from InSink to the first version of Impact. That package getting destroyed by going HD hurt it a ton and the package that replaced it was so bad the Sinclair package was an improvement.

  17. Back on an Albany tangent, here’s a look at CBS 6 News from the mid 2000s. Don’t know when this was but it had to be early 2006 as Greg Floyd is now at the anchor desk. He replaced Joe Pags around December 2005. Also when did CBS 6 drop Charlie Van Dyke?
