It was a great report. It's strange it was shot on film: by 1983 videotape was being used massively by TV stations.

Back when it was SuperStation WTBS, the service presented shortened versions of CNN Headline News. Here's one example from Sept. 9th, 1985, anchored by Lyn Vaughn: Almost 5 and a half hours of CNN coverage from the first Gulf War:

Morning sports anchors are fine, though unnecessary for anything under 4 hours. That said...c'mon, weeknights should come first.

The signature definitely sounds like it could have an image to it. Neither station used Peters or Silvertree, so those theories are out. I wonder if this might be Tuesday...some of the instrumentation reminds me of the later Tuesday stuff and the Network Industrials...
