  2. Not to mention the 'you're on' music itself held up damn well after all these years, endearing for a promo campaign. And i'm a fan of some underground/house/tech of 90's type of music.

  5. Not my fault you are too cheap to own a Yeti... It certainly is a higher end item in the go-go world of hot and cold storage. Save your money boy.

  12. Love this stuff! We must have been in/around Roanoke about the same time... I was visiting the city with my family in June of '03 and I'm pretty sure it was that weekend. I remember it being very rainy. TVTango says it's a The View special - "His & Her Body Test" http://www.tvtango.com/listings/2003/06/16

  13. They make a bit of sense in the multi-station (particularly multi-Big 4) clusters Nexstar has, but less so for markets where they acquired a single station (like WNCN). Additionally, I suspect Nexstar might feel like names like "TexasMatters" might seem like fake news when shared, which dents the stations' credibility.

  14. We'll see. I have a brand new desktop setup now, and while I'd like to set it up for video capture (it's primarily a games machine at the moment), I'll be working during the storm. Possibly into the overnight hours, so we'll see.

  16. Fine. I haven't watched it since a few years ago after David came on board and changed the show's pace and style. I haven't heard great things since then so my bad for not watching myself. It just seemed like a joke to broadcast the show from the Oscars Red Carpet. This is a program about the world's event and the Oscars, especially the red carpet, is not the place for that in my opinion. I also said the show is a former shell of itself (when Peter Jennings averaged 15 million viewers nightly). I agreed with you that NBC shouldn't pack up and move everything to the Olympics so I'm not just bashing ABC, but the Oscars Red Carpet is just not the proper setting for a nightly world news summary.

  17. Along with 18 minutes of KIMT's 10pm news in 1994, you get a Buick commercial voiced by Ron Rolland and a commercial for Rod Grams's US Senate campaign (yes, that Rod Grams)!

  18. Certainly a bit unconventional to have WNT on the red carpet — prob a better fit to have Good Morning America broadcast from there — but, others have said, it’s no different from NBC having its flagship newscast originate from the Olympics, Super Bowls, etc. I did watch Sunday’s broadcast. There was a story about the Oscars pegged to the #MeToo movement and some mentions of potential historic wins that could happen by people of color and women — noteworthy news, in my opinion. Everything else was a standard broadcast just not out the the New York studio... and it gave a natural flow to ABC’s Oscar coverage which started earlier in the day.

  19. I can’t get over how ugly those handheld prompter controllers that TEGNA and FOX O&Os use. They’re literally all I can look at whenever I see them in use. You’d think due to their size they could motivate Autoscript to make a more discrete product.
