  1. A WGN 9pm close from 2003, before they switched to the evening version of the Non-Stop theme.

  2. KMGH in 1985 (60fps!) with coverage of a flash flood in Cheyenne, Wyoming. The open is clipped but it's a nearly full half hour with a young Harry Smith, the Welch Newsmat look and set, and a fantastic close:

  3. Here is the actual press release from Altice: http://alticeusa.com/sites/default/files/pdf/Altice%20USA%20News%20Release%20%281%29.pdf Reading through it, it seems they are moving News 12 networks and the US operations/distribution of i24News (it has expanded to Charter Spectrum and one other MSO) into its own division. Nothing indicates there will be any other changes to News12 operations other than moving Patrick Dolan more out of the picture (which should be no surprise). It will allow Altice USA, which is being separated from the parent company, to push for more i24 News carriage across the US and probably some sharing of i24 content on News 12 networks.

  12. If the allegations against Tom Brokaw of sexual harassment are true then which Male Alumni from the today show will appear for the 70th anniversary in 2022? Matt Lauer I don't think will be invited, Bryant Gumbel I can't imagine never sexually harassed anyone while at NBC, same for Al Roker so that leaves us with Jim Hartz who was co-host for a very brief period of time and High Downs who will be 100 if he's still alive.

  18. Don't know if this WEAR 1999 newscast has been posted up in here. I still love this theme and to me its kind of great in a way (but now it kind of stinks with Sinclair also owning WPMI)..but they have been very unique until the Sinclair acquisition.

  19. Keep f'ng that chicken. And that's the quote of the year, y'all. In a business where the revenue streams are slowly drying up on the local level, any means to milk the cow that is the political advertising season. After all... "Money has no grey areas. You either make it or you lose it." -"Mr. Wonderful" Kevin O'Leary
