  1. If you go to https://www.youtube.com/user/MrYoumatic, you'll notice that BigO! PlaBax has uploaded a number of rare Omaha clips from the 1970s and 1980s. Here are the first moments of a KMTV newscast from 1977; anchored by Jeff Jordan. And, here are the first minutes of a WOWT newscast from 1977; anchored by Gary Kerr and Walt Dean. Watch during the video for a newscast open that was done on film and was reminiscent of the classic WBAL open that was used.

  2. Is there a way to link our Discord servers with our TVNT accounts without having to leave the Discord server? I had to leave the server twice just so I could get mine linked? Because some of us in here have been a member of the Discord server prior to the update. Thanks

  3. As a note, this thread is now stickied, replacing the HD News Thread! Out and About has become a TVNT fixture since @TexasTVNews established it in August 2011, and it's exciting to go into 2019 with it assuming its proper place as a sticky thread for all the latest bits of news from around the country.

  6. Apparently the building was demolished only a few weeks after they filmed that: the tapes are apparently gone.

  7. Firstly, Saban already tried a Captain Kangaroo reboot in the 90s, didn't last long in syndication and it then anchored a block on the ill-fated Fox Family. As for game shows, in this case, no. I want CBSTM to remain as it is-- low-key, news focused, I like it since it doesn't focus on features too much or be overtly political like cable news. I can't go back to GMA or Today now.

  9. I usually like KDKA but that's a pretty crappy move. He didn't even get to say good bye on the air before they fired him. Probably not. Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't WBAL and WIYY some of the best performing stations in Baltimore? I'm sure it's a cash cow for them.

  10. Well this is Radio News but since it’s related to TV WBAL-AM has bought a low power FM translator, W268BA-FM, at 250 watts to fill in some coverage gaps. The radio station also is simulcast on 97.9 HD2. Image courtesy of Radio-Locator.com Just because of this I’m guessing Hearst isn’t ready to get out of Radio anytime soon.
