  1. WDAM looks okay, it could be far worse. Better than what WLOX has for sure. Usually, they're one of my "fringe" stations (along with WHLT which comes in more often), but reception is worse this time of year. Here's hoping WVUE gets something halfway decent. Bonus points if they work in purple (and put the final nail in WWL's coffin...)

  2. Not sure if this is the place for it - but if you have a few hundred dollars you can own an old sign from WESH.

  3. Honestly it is just this particular package that we keep griping about haha because it is a downgrade in my opinion from what they've previously used. The Giant Octopus package from late Summer 2011 to Spring 2016 was arguably their best they've ever had: In my opinion those graphics above were their best on air look. Honestly I prefer the KABC graphics over the WABC. Much cleaner and more effective in my opinion. Their previous package looks similar to WLS's current package. I wonder if GO did the same thing. Maybe when they move to their new location we'll see an overhaul in their on-air look and branding.

  5. Many of Tegna's NBC affiliates have aired an overnight rerun of Nightly News since 2015. Variety has been on this since the practice started. Below is a link to article from November mentioning how the evening network newscasts are spreading to non-traditional timeslots in an attempt to squeeze out higher ratings. https://variety.com/2019/tv/news/evening-news-tv-ratings-david-muir-lester-holt-norah-odonnell-1203400113/

  8. Hosea Sanders is filling in at the desk at 4 today for the first time since the WCIU broadcast was canceled. I was beginning to think that they phased him out of anchoring for good, though this could be a last resort type thing, as holiday schedules get wacky. Either way, nice to see him back in the role, especially with Judy.

  10. They still have Full Measure with Sharyl Atkisson and America This Week with Eric Bolling..... does this mean we'll soon see Cooking With Boris?

  11. The lack of any real competition in the market could be one reason.

  12. Like a major news story, I thought this deserved a SPECIAL GRAPHIC, but in light of recent debuts, this is all we're gonna get...

  13. I saw a picture of their studio and underneath every confidence monitor there’s a large piece of paper making sure the talent remember it’s Air Comfort Solutions Chopper 4.

  14. Word on the street is Grays Graphic hub did not do these graphics. They were done in-house at WAVE 3. Great look if you ask me. Good evolution of the Limerick package of late.

  17. I don't think this was mentioned on this thread (you can correct me if I'm wrong). But I want to know who composed this theme. This is from WTTV in the mid-80s. Vid courtesy of kyndel hewitt from YT Is this theme based on its station promo "4 The Good Times"? Listen closely. Vid courtesy of TheClassicSports from YT. 21. I don't know about WGN or KTLA, but we cut some people (mostly part-timers), and I expect KTVI did too. Open positions aren't being filled either.
