  1. I worked with a news anchor who battled an alcohol addiction. It's not just about someone having too much fun and getting carried away, there sometimes are much deeper issues we don't know about. My co-workers and I tried to build up a strong support network around her, but she still ended up losing her job and eventually her life due to this addiction. When we're talking about on air talent on this website, I don't think it's a lot to ask that you try to have some kind of respect for the person - as we have no idea what they were going through when they made the decisions they did.

  2. Sinclair stinks. That's the flat out truth. However, I will give credit where credit is due and in this case, Sinclair did something right for once. And if your asking the question I think you're asking, no... she'll never ever get her job back at KUTV or a job with any other TV news station in Utah ever again. If she does come back, Wyoming or Glendive would be happy to have her, because that or never on TV again, is where she belongs.

  3. Good Morning America is moving closer to some form of normalcy. George, Amy and Michael anchored together in the studio for the first time in months Friday. Dan, Eva and Whit are anchoring in the TS studio together for the first time in nearly 2 months.

  4. Technology is quite amazing. At a station I used to work at, we had the ability to have the weather anchor cut into programming without anyone else being in the building. There was a setup in the weather center where all you had to do was push a singular button and the weather computer and the specific mic were put on air. Then, push the same button and we're back to regular scheduled programming. It wasn't fancy, but it prevented having to call a bunch of people in for severe weather at off times. Mind you, this wasn't market #3.

  6. If that's the case, then WOW! It made my spirit rise up + said Ain't God good? I'm not overtly religious but I felt that much. That said, continued strength + prayers for the family, FOX 8 + NE Ohio. Good news of this sort is sorely needed.

  7. So she basically have to move to another state, because the Salt Lake City is the only Television market in the state. That's tough.

  9. Longtime anchor of Salt Lake City's CBS 2 News (KUTV) is out of the job. Shauna Lake has been fired from KUTV after her 2nd DUI arrest. https://www.sltrib.com/artsliving/2020/05/14/scott-d-pierce-kutv-fires/

  12. KVUE chief meteorologist Albert Ramon announced on social media that he will be leaving the station next week after 10 years there. His message said that the new opportunity was too good to pass up and he would still be covering Texas weather “extensively,” but coanchor Terri Gruca mentioned that he was headed to Chicago. The combination of those two pieces of information makes me suspect that he may be headed to News Nation.

  13. Wow, way to go! Taking joy in someone else’s misery. Was it the right thing? A good employer would’ve tried to get them the right help. Yeah, good luck getting an answer to that question. He rarely responds. Thank you, finally a voice of reason.

  15. Good. She had a good secure job in a top market and all she had to do is not drink and drive and she couldn't even do that. What a dumbass. I have no sympathy for her
