  1. Here’s a look at the updated graphics. The MSNBC Reports graphics are consistent across anchor, but with custom photos for each.

  2. Their schedule looks better today than they did under their later Media General days, when they were showing third-rate syndicated programming during network off-hours.

  3. I wouldn’t be surprised to see CNN update their L3 in the next few weeks when they implement their new schedule. Stay tuned!

  4. I don't mind all the shows being under a single brand but MSNBC should have stuck with the 'MSNBC Live' brand IMO. It gives a continuous coverage feel, and average viewers probably just say their watching MSNBC rather than the program name unless it's Rachel Maddow or Joy Reid etc.... The new L3's are more of the same but I prefer them over the previous package. Regardless cable news could stand to diversify itself from this heavy white box look. No gloss, no shine no transparency, just flat and white. From what I've seen sports channels like ESPN have completely outdone cable news where graphics and set design are concerned. Their early 2000s look was strong and more creative. Followed by their mid 00s and early 2010s looks.

  5. It really hasn't been used in name in years. But I still think they could have chosen different names then all FIRST LAST NAMES Reports. Weekends I think they could have kept Weekends with Alex Witt and something more catchy then Gibson & Reiser Reports. I bet we will have brand new graphics launching tomorrow. Maybe a redesigned logo for the network that has MSNBC undder the peacock like NBC News does.

  6. This isn't really a lineup-related thing (well...it could be someday), but I thought this was a pretty significant grab for CNN: She had a very prominent role with CBS so I did not expect this (I'm also just OOTL about her relationship with CBS these past few months). Weijia and Ed have a larger role at the WH today and there's less upward room at CBS so I guess this was the best fit for her.

  7. Sad news here in Richmond. Longtime WWBT anchor Andrea McDaniel passed away after a battle with pancreatic cancer last week. She anchored NBC12 News Today and NBC12 News at Noon from 1985 to 2006. After that, she continued to appear on-air and represent the station on several community projects and then later hosted the station's RVA Today segments (RVA is Richmond's nickname) until last year. ‘So much heart’: Long-time NBC12 anchor Andrea McDaniel dies
